This was the first time we stayed in a bed and breakfast and we weren't disappointed. Roger and Dave were very nice and made us feel like family. And Roger is one of the best cooks I've ever had the pleasure of cooking for me. Enjoyed breakfast with them in the morning!

This bed and breakfast is walking distance to Lincoln's Tomb. The house is beautiful and Roger is a perfect host. The Captains Room is a nice suite but the shower was a little cold. Breakfast served on the front porch was great. The gardens are beautiful.

Little nuances that people who want a sterile, processed, chemical-smelling hotel experience may not appreciate, but I do! I would tweak some of the food and beverage and repair some things here or there but my friend Scott and I were very pleased, comfortable and well-rested. While waiting for the hot water, as a resident of the Sonoran desert, I... More

The house is historic and lovely. The owners are so sweet and friendly. But basic maintenance and cleanliness is not their strong suit I think. The place looked fine until we got to our room and saw the bed. I first noticed that the pillow shams that sat on top were dirty. OK, I thought, as long as the sheets... More

Roger and Dave were wonderful friendly guys and the home was charming. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again. However in all honesty I must say that the inn is a bit on the shabby side and would not be the place for anyone who is very fussy or particular.

I wouldn't recommend it. I put leftovers in the kitchen refrigerator it was dirty needless to say we didn't eat there and did not take our leftovers home.no water pressure in the shower, or hot water it was barely lukewarm even after letting it run.

Wow. I'm sorry this guest had a bad experience. We try very hard to accommodate our guests. No one had previously complained about the shower having no pressure or being lukewarm. We have since replaced the thermostat on the water heater. The pressure seems adequate....perhaps some advancing arteriosclerosis in the galvanized plumbing in the 1871 house? (we will be replacing... More

The hosts were friendly, but we clearly do not share my political beliefs, lol, which was clear from our morning conversations over breakfast. The downstairs was very nice, as was our room. My two criticisms were that the bed creaked pretty loudly whenever we moved on it, and breakfast was kind of luke warm our second morning, but I enjoyed... More

This is the fourth B&B I have stayed at. What a beautiful home with lots of character. When you walk in the doors you can't help but wonder who has stayed there before and the history of the home. It is nicely decorated and the dinning room is beautiful from the lead glass windows to the builtin cupboards. The inn... More

Roger and Dave were so nice and helpful in picking us up at Amtrak and then also taking us to Hertz to pick up a rental car. The breakfasts we were served were delicious and the accommodations were good. Thanks Roger and Dave!
