The hotel is located in the Matra hill, in a quiet and clean village surrounded by the forest. It has a great atmosphere since it's in a historical castle. We travelled with our toddler who enjoyed the hot bath and the playroom a lot. We had excellent service everywhere, right from the reception to the restaurant. The food was nice,... More

The Castle is so beautiful...tranquil place, surrounded by forest. A rare gem in North Hungary close to Eger...a piece of history, reminders of the olden days glory...great comfort and tranquil settings ..The building is nicely restored and have 3 wings, a wellness section, outdoor swimming pool, bowling, squash and tennis court, even a fantastic play-room for children. But the best... More

Beautiful hotel with suitable and spacious rooms in the main building. Best place is the billiard room in the tower! You can play all night long without disturbing others. All games are free!! Wellness pool is small, in summer there is better place the large outside pool.

The drink prices are out of this world, sucker prices more specifically about double or triple the Hungarian norm. That's because there is nowhere else to drink. Otherwise very friendly staff and the food was great.

Here are the good things: - very nice location, quiet place - the waiter with the magic tricks is still there. He is 5star. The chef is 5star, stands there during the dinner, telling the story of the meals and helps you. - food is bit above average. Some meals are really good, with fresh ingredients, but there are quite... More

Very friendly staff, good food and in a great location. The bar could be done nicer . ( I would suggest to move it to main building ). If you need to chill out for a weekend enjoy the forest and long walks plus live in a nice renovated castle with very friendly staff. This is the place.

The first impression was not quite positive. We were promised to have a room in the Renaissance wing, but we had to change dates and they just put us to the Romantique wing. The castle looks pretty from the outside and the interior is fairly nice, too. However there are signs of saving costs on maintenance. We asked for a... More

We spent 2 days at this hotel as a family of four two days ago. From outside the castle is breathtaking. When you enter you see that it has seen better days. The wooden wall covers, doors, door handles are shabby and loose. It is the same with the furniture. Everything is loose and moving. I think the hotel opened... More

We spent an amazing couple of days here with larger family in August. The castle, the park were wonderful. The restaurant was excellent, but some other services were less satisfactory. Every meal at the restaurant had a good selection, great service, wonderful surroundings. One of the waiters was kind enough to do magic tricks to entertain the kids, convince them... More

This hotel is luxurious and clean with lots of proud history. We enjoyed the food and horseriding here and also the tennis and games room. The family photos of the aristocracy who lived here a hundred years ago gives it a cosy authentic feel. The rooftop view from the tower across the forest is spectacular too.
