The motel is clean, great bed and looks right out of the 60"s (in a pleasant way). The restaurant is homey, good food and quaint atmosphere, with old time saloon piano music drifting through the air. Most enjoyable.

Restaurant food and staff(family) are great. Rooms are dated, but clean. Loaner coffee pots are available if you know to ask. Rooms need screens on all the windows to keep the bugs out. The folks running the general store who also handle the room registrations aren't very friendly or helpful. Thankfully, the young family running the restaurant make up for... More

It is hard to describe the Lassen Mineral Lodge motel, since it is such a set of contrasts. You get the impression that the owners are struggling to make a living in a remote mountain community, which was badly affected by the closure of the ski resort some years ago. Yet it is the only motel close to the southern... More

The park is very pretty, well treed, very inexpensive for full hook-ups, however the park is not well maintained, bathrooms are not cleaned daily, nor well stocked with supplies. The garbage and recycle containers were over flowing with garbage and recyclables strewn all over the ground. It took 2 times contacting the people in charge of the mess, and finally... More

When we go to National Parks, we love to stay in the parks themselves or in this case, as close as we can get! Lassen Mineral Lodge was great for just that, and we enjoyed seeing how it is to live in such a raw and rustic area. The owners, their 2 young children, and the locals who stopped by... More

There is nothing in Mineral, but is close to the southwest entrance to Lassen Volcanic National Park, thus eliminates the longer drive from Chester or other areas. The lodge is old and if cars are not parked there, then it looks like another abandoned and forgotten town. There is a store, where the campers AND the people staying at the... More

Flew down from WA to visit Lassen NP and not a lot of places to stay close to the park. This place is very close and has a general store and restaurant. Very rustic rooms but clean and very quiet. The restaurant is also good and really the only place in town to eat. Very friendly staff and quick service.... More

Stayed here for two nights while we visited Lassen National Park. It is great if you want to get to the park early to hike and it was nice to be able to be back at the room without a long drive at the end of the day. It's okay that the hotel is old. It was pretty clean but... More

Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Lassen Volcanic National Park. Looks dated from the outside, but inside the rooms are good with a very modern bathroom. No tv, internet or coffee maker inside the rooms, but we did have a fridge. If you are desperate to check your email, you can get wifi while in the restaurant. Very spacious... More
