I came after a day in Lassen NP. I arrived pretty late and hosts were busy serving dinner, but checkin was quick and friendly anyway. On the way to the room i found a dead scorpion on the front porch, but did not spot any "wildlife" inside. The rooms are not super clean and not new. The whole place is... More

Quiet place in the middle of nowhere. Clean, comfortable rooms at a decent price. Helpful staff. The only dining option in Mineral is the restaurant adjacent to the lodge. So bring everything you need. We booked a room with a kitchenette, so cooked food on our own. If you expect wifi/tv in your room, this is probably not the place... More

Lassen Mineral Lodge is one of a very few places to stay near the SW entrance of this national park. It is almost a self sufficient in that a restaurant, general store, and lodging are contained in a single property. What is missing is a gas station, the nearest being in Chester, a 45-60 minute drive east. We chose to... More

Stayed here last night as part of a family roadtrip. We got in at 11:00pm and left in the morning, but in the short time we spent here everything was great. Clean and BIG rooms, hot water, nice little porch outside. They were very accommodating and left the rooms open for us when we realized we won't make it by... More

Very interesting, rustical. If you have a sense of adventure. The rooms are quaint, and tidy. There are two different sets of rooms. We stayed in the 40 series. There is no air conditioning. Open the windows, fresh air!

When we first got to Mineral Lodge we checked in through the store connected to the Lodge and the first impression wasn't the greatest, but that changed quickly. The room although not luxorious, was very comfortable and pleasant...Granted, the lodge is aging and need some upkeep, but really can't complain...The setting is quiet and peaceful and convienient to the NP...The... This store was such a great surprise. We stayed in a cabin near by and hadn't had tme to buy all the supplies for meals. This little country store has everything. It is a bit pricier of course than a supermarket in a big city - but we were so pleased to find everything we needed and more! I knew... More

The good thing about the campground is its close and convenient location to the national park. The campground is quiet and in the shadows of the trees. The bad thing about the campground is definitely the bathroom. First, there is just ONE shower and ONE toilet, so if the campground is full this might be a problem. However, the bigger... More

It's not clean. Not the worst, not disgusting, but not clean. Huge plus is in our room there was a king and two single beds. Two nights the kids didn't fight. The kitchenette sink only ran hot. There was a sign to that effect. The shower had some unfinished pipes sticking out. Checkers in the room was a nice touch.... More

I'm really NOT a hotel snob & normally love old places, but this hotel is in DIRE need of maintenance! I realize it's VERY old, but that doesn't mean the owners can't repair the MANY items on the exterior that need help, put on a fresh coat of paint, & fix the problems in the rooms. The screen was missing... More
