We had a beautiful "duplex" room ,the reception staff were very helpful, and managed to get us a table in the restaurant despite our late arrival. The hotel is renovated stylishly everywhere except for the breakfast room which resembled the cafe in a modern local authority swimming pool- where they refused to serve the omelettes etc which were available to... At booking we did not realize enough that this was a relais de silence. After a long drive kids longed for a swim. After two remarks of visitors that they should not splash not jump we left disappointed. At diner it mentioned a steak for either 2 or 4 people (1 course) at 120. This was per person and not... We had such an amazing / relaxing weekend! The spa and service was great. Highly recommend the massages, a time well spent. We loved the morning buffet and evening apero. Definately take a bike and tour the stunning vinyards near by! The restaurant is a little lacking in luminosity. There was a wedding during our stay so we had the... More

After driving all day, coming down from London, the meal offered at the restaurant was truly worth the journey. It was Lyonnaise food at its very best. There were three set menus on offer. We chose the €80 menu which resulted in a series of different courses of absolutely tantalisingly delicious French cuisine.

This was our third stay in this wonderful place. It lays very quiet in the vineyards, has a beautiful topiary garden and view . The staff is friendly and it has a fine restaurant and menu and of course a great selection of wines.

Excellent location and good service. However, the menu is €65 - this price only includes a fish OR meat course and does not include a cheese course. The latter is €15 per person for a very modest cheeseboard and they do not make it clear unless you read the menu carefully that this is extra. The chateau's own wine is... More

We have been staying at this hotel on our way to and from the south of France on various occasions since 1989 ! In the beginning the charm of the charm of the place was enhanced by animals and birds in the grounds, peacocks strutted around and hens and ducks roamed free. The whole ambiance was of a lovely Beaujolais... More

Just returned from a two day visit and was very impressed again with the beauty of the property and the outstanding service at the Chateau. The topiary gardens are exquisite, manicured and lovely to see while you are walking through this wonderland. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quite, but the sit down shower presents some issues for North American... More

It was our 2nd visit in about 8 years and we werent disappointed. We chose the "Séjour Entre Vigne et Terroir pour 2 personnes" 2 night stay which we felt was a good choice. The room was excellent - but again, a plastic sheet on the bed! Reception said they would do something about it: and merely removed it. Ho... More

My parents had offered me one of these smartboxes offering a night with dinner and breakfast at a location of our choice among a selection. We decided to use it to take a break while going on vacation from Luxembourg to Southern France. We chose the Chateau de Pizay as it was ideally located in the middle of our way,... More
