La Carol 'isle is an outstanding 3 room B & B that feels like your own home if you are fortunate enough to own a home like this. Carol is a landscape architect who has converted an old property into a lovely place to stay. Located in the city it is steps from the market and restaurants along the canals.... More

The best thing you can say about a place is that once settled there, you don’t wish to leave. Such is the case with La Carol’isle. Carol and her husband Joel are warm, friendly, and hospitable, and they alone are a reason to stay here. From the moment you arrive, you enter a world of gracious hospitality, comfort, and beauty.... You'd be very unlikely to discover this amazing B & B if you wandered through the street its in, but it's a great place to stay. Our suite was cleverly designed and tastefully decorated. Lots of lovely extras included; amazing shower with 40cm square drenching effect ceiling water outlet, Nespresso machine, kettle, full size fridge, and CD player with extensive... More

We stayed in this lovely town to have a good base for touring. We found the property on TA and are so glad we did. The property is beautiful inside and Carol is so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious. Would definitely stay again

We stayed 5 nights in the 2 Terraces Room which is a lovely room with a terrace with sunbeds and a dining table and has a second secluded terrace on the roof - perfect for watching the sun go down with a glass of wine. Our room and public areas are wonderfully decorated and the breakfasts are delicious. Carol made... More

As B&B's go, this one has to be in class by itself. There are just 3 rooms for rent, aside from the owners' accommodations, but each room is uniquely laid out and decorated. The house is located in the historic centre of L'isle-sur-la-sorgue, has been beautifully renovated and has all the amenities one would expect of a 5 star hotel,... More

We stayed in the Olive Room which we felt like we were in our own apartment, kitchen area, living area with table and chairs, very large bedroom and bathroom with shower and bathtub and a private terrace. Carol, the owner, is a very kind person and very helpful. She gives advise on restaurants, places to visit, walking and driving directions... More

Simple is not a word I would use to describe this beautiful B & B more like French Chic with an industrial touch - stunning. We were greeted by Carol the owner, she is a delightful lady who speaks fluent English. We stayed in the Writers Loft - it is a large room tastefully decorated with a kitchenette, a fridge... More

After close to 24 hours of traveling, we would have been ok with any hotel room. But walking through the doors to La Carol'isle was more than we could have hoped for! Between the warm welcome (by Evie - Carol was out of town for our visit) which included freshly made fruit juice and the stunning room with a terrace,... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Carol'Isle is a charming private mansion located at the heart of the village, a few steps away from the collegiate church of Notre Dame des Anges, the historic centre of l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. This vast two-storied mansion resembles a Moroccan Riad : hidden from outside view, it is built around a secret garden, with more than 200 m2 of reception rooms and kitchens on the ground floor. A 15m long winter garden with a sunny glass roof lies next to a secret patio beneath the greenery of a chestnut and a lime tree where a fountain murmurs. The bar area with its air-conditioned wine cellar nearby sparkles behind bay windows (with anti UV rays). Guests can chose between a large loft, an appartment/suite or a big rooftop room, each with separate bathrooms and facilities, accessible by lift or stairs. All have sunny terraces. ... more   less
