We found the friendliest hotel in the world. The building itself is fairly typical for a historic hotel. The rooms are old (by definition!) but totally comfortable. Each evening, I enjoyed a glass of wine next to the big fireplace in the lobby. The highlight of our stay was Sandy who works the front desk each afternoon and evening. She... More

As others have said this is a historic building. The lobby is cozy and a roaring gas fire was going when we walked in. There is a lovely dining room to the left and the fireplace/sitting area to the right. There is a small elevator for those that need it and plenty of stairs. Coffee and tea is available in... More

We found the Boulder Dam Hotel to be a funky old place with small rooms, but good character. It houses an art gallery of local work and the Dam Museum (Hoover Dam), which is small but informative. The staff seemed a little scattered, but very friendly and helpful and the front common area is very comfortable. The location is great,... More

Boulder Dam hotel is a historic hotel built in 1933 and has recently undergone a renovation. Thankfully renovation has left the old school charm intact and is the best place to stay around Hoover Dam. We booked the hotel as we scrambled last minute to find accommodations. It was by luckily chance we stumbled on this gem! We were so... More

We had the opportunity to eat lunch at the hotel. This is an historic landmark for Boulder City. The building is in wonderful condition. The lunch was very tasty, the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. Prices good and the staff was very nice. We ate on NYE and the owner played auld lang syne on her violin for us. There is... More

We visited Boulder City to mountain bike in Bootleg Canyon. This hotel was very nice and clean. The free breakfast was cooked to order every morning and gave you about 8 options to choose from. The room was a little small with our luggage and bikes, but that wasn't the hotel's fault. I didn't think about the extra space we... More

Excellent experience! We flew into Vegas and wanted a place to stay on our way to see the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon (South Rim). This hotel was charming and comfortable - perfect for our needs. Only 30 mins or so from the airport. You can park in the lot next door to the hotel. We got in late (around... More

We came over from where we live in NW Vegas to visit friends. This little hotel came up on our search, looked inviting and inexpensive. It was amazing! The room was very comfortable, clean as a whistle, and oh so quiet. Where to start now? Beautiful lobby with fireplace, second floor lounge with computer and coffee, USB charging station in... More

This was the first leg on our trip to Las Vegas. We wanted to stay out of the city and close to some of the attractions around the area. The boulder dam hotel was fantastic! Situated in a low key section of Boulder city, the room and hotel were quite and a very friendly atmosphere. The rooms are small and... More
