We had a lovely large room, with old furniture and books overlooking the front of the hotel and listened to the sound of running water ( originally it was a mill) during the night.A peaceful atmosphere to his hotel.

This is a quiet, charming hotel tucked away from the town center but steps away from shops and restaurants. I stayed in a large, 3rd floor room facing the courtyard. It was very comfortable with a desk, large bath/shower and charming decor. The staff was especially accommodating and kind. There is an elevator, wifi throughout the property, lobby bar and... More

We spent an idyllic week at this hotel. Everything about it charming, from the setting, the decor and ambience, the exceptionally accommodating staff through to the garden, running water and beautifully planted decorative urns. We had a Melodie rated room on the third floor this gave us lots of space and a splendid view of the streams, pools and garden... More

We stayed for 1 night and had a fantastic stay. We were warmly welcomed by Jerome into a rustic and romantic hotel with a very warm feel to it - great taste in decor without being kitch. Our room was lovely, took an "attic room" with slanting ceilings - - not for anyone really tall!!!! the room was tastefully decorated... More

Hotel du Poete is not truly luxurious but it is charming, well decorated and appointed, staffed by extremely hospitable employees, comfortable and enjoyable in every respect. We had a misunderstanding when making our reservation and didn't realize that the elevator didn't go to rooms on the "attic" floor. Fortunately for us the hotel was not fully booked for the two... We stayed here while hiking in the area. We had a lovely Melodie room, quite spacious, good air conditioning and very quiet. Would have preferred the shower above the bath rather than on the taps but we coped! The hotel is in a beautiful setting surrounded by trees and the sound of the river. Breakfast is fantastic, great selection of... More

The Hotel du Poete is an amazing base hotel for a stay in the Luberon region. The rooms are comfortable, individually decorated in Provencial style. The bathrooms and amenities are first rate. The hotel shines in it's service, from the helpful and gracious front desk personnel, to the breakfast staff and the friendly, hard working housing staff who keep your... More

LOCATION & OVERVIEW OF HOTEL: 4/5: A delightful small hotel, in excellent condition, inside and out. And in such an enchanting location – difficult to imagine unless you’ve seen it for yourself! It was also a great base for what we wanted to do… some sightseeing each day, rounded off with an hour or two lounging by the pool in... More

Hotel du Poet is a real find! Fontaine de Vaucluse is an ancient and very busy village about 50 minutes outside of Avignon, France. Hotel du Poet is a refuge in this village. The hotel is small in everything but hospitality and charm. We visited in late September, and the restaurant was closed on the days we were there. But... More

The hotel is in a great location, easy walking distance into the town and all the tourist attractions it has to offer. The accommodation was comfortable and the breakfast (at extra cost) was very good. We spent 5 nights here as part of a group of 8 adults and we all really enjoyed the relaxed afternoons by the pool.
