I had reservations planned weeks in advance but when I got there the guy at the desk said he wasn't sure they had a room for me... He says he has to run up the horribly filthy stairs to clean the room. If it wasn't so late I would have left at that moment. He comes down 5 minutes later... More

The only good parts - the sheets and towels seemed to be clean. Free freezer use The rest- Stinky room, noisy room, dirty BR sink, Bare floor and old crappy furniture gave it the "dirty dorm-room" look. Most surfaces dirty and/or sticky YUCK! No way to close the window on first floor (crank handle missing). Uncomfortable bed. Hotel staff in... More

Friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms and FREE parking for guests who leave a vehicle and travel outside of Anchorage to return. Adam and his staff are most accommodating. In close proximity to the airport with complimentary shuttle service too.

If I could give this dump a minus 5 stars I would. We travel quite a bit and have never slept in such a disgusting place and treated so horribly by a hotel GM. Here is what happened, and please make sure to learn from our mistake. Our flight got in to Anchorage around midnight and we went straight to... More

The worst hotel EVER. Called for shuttle from airport-no answer! Called repeatedly for 30 minutes-finally answered told me too busy to answer phone. When it finally arrived theShuttle looked like homeless person lived in it. It was so nasty & dirty I didn't want to get in. No one at front desk had to wait again to get key. No... More

Pros: Close to airport, big room, huge 2 beds, free shuttle to airport and train station, close to lake. Cons: Simple, outdated We waited in airport for shuttle about 40 min; shuttle bus driver was very friendly and provided few helpful advices; I asked for fan and extra towel it was given to us on 2nd request (immediately) when front... This is a dingy smelly dirty rotten hotel. Don't even think of staying here even in an emergency. Read the other ratings...this hotel doesn't give a hoot what people think. Pictures are total bogus shot to mislead. This looks like an "Alaskan" hotel with character...but is absolutely the pits...with zero character. Stay away!!

My wife and I made a reservation over the internet for this hotel. The ratings seemed OK and the hotel looked attractive, and it is near the airport, which was important. The rates were also fair. But, upon arrival, we went to the room and were shocked. The light switch did not have a cover, exposing bare wires. The room had... More

My wife and I had a flight mis-connection on June 23, 2014 and through hotels.com booked the Long House Alaskan Hotel. It had shuttle service. The price we paid for one night was very expensive. We were not happy, to say the least, with what we got for the price we paid. Dark, dingy hall ways with badly worn dirty... More
