This place is clean, affordable and well located in central Anchorage. Our room was large and came with a kitchenette and two beds. Staff downstairs are super friendly (esp Zach!). Downside is that the decor is SO dated -its straight from the 1970s...

We chose the hotel because of its location (downtown) and its price (less than $200/night). We were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were miniature suites, with a half-kitchen (small refrigerator, sink & microwave), sofa/bed, dining/work table with two chairs, queen bed, dresser, TV, and a French balcony. Clean & bright. Continental breakfast for those so inclined. Free wifi. The front desk... More

We stayed here twice in June 2013, coming and going to other parts of Alaska. Rooms were adequate, clean, and quiet. We enjoyed the time in Anchorage and this place is near enough to walk to meals, etc.

This is now owned by the Captain Cook hotel (and is called the Voyager, not the Rodeway), so the staff at the front desk thought that would lead to some improvements, but that the price would stay below $200 during the summer. I did notice a funny smell in the room when we entered, but after the first day I... More

We stayed here 2 separate times during our vacation in July. The rooms are very large, have a full kitchen, and are very clean. They are a bit dated, and the sofa/pullout bed is sort of odd, but the beds are comfortable, and we had a very nice stay both times. Anchorage was quite warm when we were there, and... More

The smell, cleanliness, food, etc was absolutely appalling. The people working here were amazing. Very kind and helpful. However, I would never return!! There are so many other aces to stay. Do not pick this hotel under any circumstances.

Hotel is in a great location, rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. All the essential stuff. Also staff are super friendly and helped out when our reservation got lost between expedia and the hotel. They let us check in and we went off to explore while they resolved things so we didn't waste time. Only downside is hotel is a... More

Rodeway Inn was centrally located and the staff was accomodating, friendly, and professional. We were able to walk all over downtown Anchorage in our short time there because this hotel was so conveniently located - close to restaurants, museum, performing arts, stores, etc. It is actually two blocks from the ocean also. The view from our hotel window (think it... More

On the plus side, a good location, free wifi and decent coffee. On the down side, expensive for what it is, a bit run down and smelly and, depending on which side your room is facing, noisy from traffic. One friendly staff member (male), one rather inefficient one (female) and a guaranteed late check out against paiement disappeared from their... More
