Stayed one night following a cruise. Hotel is relatively centrally located, staff was friendly and helpful. Room was pretty average at best. Another reviewer called it tired, which I think is a good descriptor. Super expensive for what it is, but that seems to be the going rate in Anchorage. Adequate, we were happy enough, but I would choose this... more

We stayed here on two separate occasions. You can walk to most downtown attractions and restaurants from this conveniently located 40 room hotel. Rooms are decent size, and most came with a kitchenette (frig., microwave, cups and sink). We were told that not all room has wireless internet access but the lobby does. One of the rooms we stayed in... more

The Voyager is our first choice hotel in Anchorage as it has been for many years. Comfortable and quiet rooms, convenient location, small (40 rooms), and personal service are all of note. Metered street parking available, or can buy passes for the parking lot across the street for duration of your stay. The bathrooms offer a tub shower, with excellent... more

Our 3-night stay itself was bearable (decent room, fairly pathetic breakfast, no airport transfer that other places seem to offer). However, they overcharged us and were quite obnoxious about refunding once we discovered the problem. In more detail: we booked from the hotel directly and were quoted a (high-ish) rate for the four of us. They did not give us... more

I am a frequent business traveler to Anchorage and I try to stay at the Voyager every time I go. There have been times when they could not accomodate me so I have had a fair sampling of the available hotels in Anchorage. It is hands down the best value in Anchorage. While more well known or 'luxurious' names may... more

We stayed at the Voyager for one night on our recent vacation to Alaska and were pleased with the accommodations. The room was larger than the average hotel room with a queen sized bed and a kitchenette. The hotel is small and relatively inexpensive (compared to other hotels in the area). It's in a great location as it is within... more

This is an unpretentious, clean and pleasant hotel within easy walking distance of most of downtown. We spent two non-consecutive nights there. Parking across the street was $8/day and not a hardship. The continental breakfast provided is sub-adequate, but who cares when the wonderful Snow City Cafe is two blocks away? The room was a good size, with a mini-kitchen.... more

I really, really wanted to like the Voyager and I just didn't, which was my feeling a few years ago when I stayed there with a friend and recently when a group of us were booked there for work. There is much to like about the place- enormous rooms, great big windows letting in lots of light, excellent staff and... more

Our family of four enjoyed our one-night stay at the Voyager immensely. Our room was a two-room suite; incredibly comfortable, large, and very clean. Amenities like extra pillows and towels were provided cheerfully. Front desk staff was helpful and courteous. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat. Good value too! more

The Voyager is a great value! We stayed here for the last night of a 2 week vacation. Fodor's had described the hotel as modest and dated, but it exceeded my expectations. Friendly staff, extremely clean and large, large, large room. I would definately recommend it to anyone coming to Anchorage! more
