Shuttle bus all the way from Seward, after our Alaska cruise, dropped us at The Captain Cook Hotel, right across the street fro Voyager. Could not have been better 😀 We arrived at the hotel SEVERAL hours before check-in and that proved absolutely no problem to the guy who checked is in. Check-in was fast, friendly and efficient; breakfast place... More

The rooms were clean and updated. The service was good excluding the breakfast service which was a little slow on filling. Mike the night auditor was very courteous and was a wealth of knowledge. Location is great as well.

Booked a Junior Suite for a 3 night stay, paying a premium for kitchenette facilities (after many nights eating out). Unfortunately, the kitchenette was the most useless we have ever experienced. Only 2 each of knives/forks/spoons/plates/bowls/mugs/glass tumblers - that's it ! Can't cook in a microwave with just those. No extractor fan (for vapour and smells), no washing up liquid,... More

The pros: large room, mini fridge, location was great, terrific breakfast. The cons: no extra pillows, no room darkening curtains. I think it would have been ideal if the curtains could actually block out light during June.

The staff was quite nice. They have a deal with the hotel across the street for pool and exercise rooms. These facilities are quite nice but the men's entrance is a about a block away, women's directly across the street. It is located close to the museum and a couple of "old time" bars. Many tourist shops are close by.... More
