Recently stayed in this establishment and found it to be ideally situated in downtown anchorage. The rooms are large and well appointed. Within walking distance to shops, restaurants, etc and the riding/ walking trail which continues along the coast toward the airport. We hired bikes and road along this trail and encountered 2 moose. Fantastic

Great location. Easy walk to shopping and restaurants. Try Orso and The Brewhouse...both great restaurants. Convenience store across the road very handy. Comfortable beds. Booked after reading other reviews and wasn't disappointed.

My room was huge with kitchenette and sitting area! I especially liked the door that opened to outside for the cool Alaskan breeze. They do not have a restaurant on site, but Captain Cook Hotel across the street has a couple of great restaurants. I was very pleased with the staff, the room, the location, and best of all the... Across from a Captain Cook hotel it's sister property in a great location. Two couples stayed there on a Tuesday, then Thursday and Friday in late July. The front desk staff was great, but somehow messed up our reservation for the second stay. The good news is they were able to accommodate us and gave a small discount on the... More

We had a very large clean room with a fridge and microwave. What we didn't have was any air or any way to open the door/window thing (it had a hole where a part was missing). It was stifling in our room and when we called to report the problem (the thermostat was set on 50 and no air was... More

Nicely updated, reasonably priced (compared to other options downtown at least!), conveniently located. Only drawback is that I thought it said free shuttle to/from airport and it is not. Either a $20 cab or $10 per person shared airport shuttle.

This apparently was once a Rodeway Inn, now taken over by the Captain Cook Hotel (across the street). It has been impressively upgraded. The rooms were huge with a frig and microwave as well as basic dishes. Coffee provided. A complementary breakfast (wheeled over from the Captain Cook) was provided with eggs bacon cereal, yogurt, pastries, coffee and pancakes (a... More

The facility itself is very nice for a 2 star hotel, however, paying over $200 a night for a room is hardly cheap. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and a nice breakfast is served. However, the manager is AWOL all weekend with no way to resolve issues.....drunk man beating on door at 3:00 AM, toilet overflowing twice, maids did... More

Just finished a complete remodel and what a great job they did. Pleasant staff to check in, great room, lots of space and comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good and lots to choose from. Vocation was right downtown near everything, no need for a car.

Don't be put off by the slightly tired look of the corridors. Our room was very spacious, well-decorated and comfortable with a partial view of the sea. Across the road from the Captain Cook with access to its facilities. Perfect for access to all of Downtown and the Coastal Trail. If you're in Anchorage for a day or two and... More
