Stayed one night at this hotel prior to an Alaskan cruise. It was fantastic! The staff was courteous, professional and extremely accommodating. Though the hotel is slightly removed from the majority of downtown Anchorage, a complimentary shuttle to that area was offered (based on availability), making it easy to enjoy exploring the city without the need for a rental car.... more

The rooms were nice, but I can't believe the prices of all the hotel rooms in Anchorage! They are outrageous! I got our rooms though Hotwire and they were around $100. The location was ok. We were just there to spend the night. The lobby was beautiful. more

Thank you so much for your awesome comments on the Hotel value for the rate you paid! We think that the $15M we spent more than nicely complements the outstanding customer service. We look forward to your next stay with us.

We had a nice stay at the Sheraton. Newly remodeled bathroom (granite counter tops), flat screen tv, new furniture and nicely decorated. There was not a pool in the hotel, only a fitness area. I would recommend to travelers. The walk to downtown seemed a little far. Parking was not included in the room rate, cost an additional $10 per... more

This hotel is located in the northeastern corner of the city anchorage. About a ten minute street walk to much shopping and restaurants. The hotel has a grand/ modern feeling to it. Rooms were comfortable, modern and clean - bathroom was basic surprisingly. Staff was a pleasure to have. Hotel smelled refreshing. Only negative which is parking was $10 a... more

Nice hotel in good location. Front desk staff very friendly, but some confusion about billing, presumably due to inexperience. staff made every effort to make for a pleasant stay and I appreciate that. Room nice but nothing out of the ordinary. Lobby was very nice as was the food. more

I was stuck in the Sheraton Anchorage hotel due to the volcano eruption of Mt Redoubt. For four days, we waited for a flight, and I cannot say enough about the kindness of the kitchen staff and their ability to go the extra mile for me. I had several meals there and the meals were always terrific. Chef Kelvin was... more

The Sheraton has nice rooms and a great fitness center! That said, it's not special - the lobby is being renovated, it's too far from the cool stuff in downtown to be able to walk in cold weather, and the parking areas are a slick of ice. I'm not from Alaska - so maybe that's how it is everywhere. I... more

We appreciate the kind comments on our newly renovated rooms and fitness center. We will be pleased to offer yout the use of our complimentary downtown shuttle service anytime you stay with us, many people use this option during Alaskan Winters, when it is a little cold to make the short, often sunny walk to area activities.

Yes, the rooms are nice and the atmosphere of the hotel "feels" 4 star, but I had too many negative events for me to give this place any higher rating. First, we booked two rooms and asked either for adjoining or at least same floor. Our friends checked in 2 hours before we did and by the time we checked... more

Thank you for your comments. Yes, the rooms are nice and the atmosphere of the hotel does feel 4 star. We always pleased to honor requests for adjoining rooms, and many times are able to make it happen. , Funny thing about Alaskan winters is the A/C is turned off, occasionally we get an unusually hot spell. Fortunately, the windows...

We stayed here one night during the land portion of a Cruise West trip. This hotel was very nice! We were on the 12th floor and the room was very nicely done, clean, and comfortable. We had a great view of the sunset. Lobby area was also very nice. Only one minor complaint, computers were not available for guests, as... more

This is a particularly nice Sheraton, with classy, comfortable rooms. We were lucky to be upgraded to a family suite, which was huge and very nicely appointed. The staff were very helpful - highly recommended if you're looking for accommodation in downtown Anchorage. more
