Room was nice but turned heat all the way off and still was a very hot room. The bed was the softest mattress I have ever slept on, not a good nights rest. The only way to cool the room was turn the air conditioner on, using air conditioner in late September in Alaska umm !!!

With a prime location on Hood Lake, the Alaskan Millennium hotel is a cut above the rest when it comes to views and amenities to make your stay unforgettable! If you're fortunate enough to reserve a room facing the lake, there is simply no better experience than watching the fleet of floatplanes take off and land after a day in... More

My sister and I both enjoyed our stay at the Millennium. Large clean room with two sink/vanities outside of bathroom. Excellent food and service at the restaurant and bar with great views of the lake and seaplanes. I requested a room close to elevator so we did not have to walk the long distance some travelers have complained about. Free... More

This may not be a thorough review as we stayed for two nights only. From what we saw, the hotel clearly has some work to do regarding décor of rooms and other areas of the hotel. However, the lobby is very nice and rustic, and there is a nice lake at the rear of the hotel with seaplanes landing and... More

First night of holiday in Alaska, straight from airport to this hotel, restaurant not open (it was Sunday 31 August), 25 minute walk to eateries, ended up in The Village restaurant, good food. Last night of holiday 11 September, nice large room 4060, long trek from reception until we found shortcut! Reception like natural history exhibit, polar bear, grizzly bear,... More

So my vacation in Alaska was for 7 days. It started and ended in Anchorage at the Millennium Alaskan Hotel. I stayed here the first night, and last night only. And it was two different complete stays. Couple things before I go into Millennium. I did my research well before my vacation and basically found, Alaska itself isn't a Cabo/Cancun... More

I travel to Anchorage every month and have stayed everywhere. This isn't the worst place in the world so I didn't give it a one but...I won't be back. Plusses: Friendly staff Nice lobby Location by airport Comfortable bed Spacious room Misses: I got my first clue when the person checking me in said "this is actually a decent room... More

This is an airport hotel - high turnover of travellers staying here either leaving or arriving from the airport. The rooms are clean, the beds not bad comfort-wise but the lighting is awful. The whole hotel needs a major overhaul in the decor department but the food in the restaurant (dinner and breakfast) was fine and we had no problems... More

I was convinced by a friend to stay here because it was remodeled and had a new manager, whom I know. I was skeptical since it was not the greatest place to begin with, but decided to give it a chance. I went to check in and experienced the worst customer service I have even been subjected to. I had... More

This was my third and last stay at this dumpy hotel. The killer outside patio had me booking again but the room quality was so horrid that I will stay elsewhere and take a cab to the bar here if needed. Old, nasty looking carpet that looks like it hasn't been cleaned since my last visit 2 years ago. I... More
