The Millenium Hotel in Anchorage was the last stop one nite of our Norwegian Cruise Line Denali Express tour. The lobby is interesting, filled with stuffed animals (polar bear, etc). But the hallways and rooms are very dirty. No central air, just old window unit that was loud and not very efficient. The deck is nice on the lake, food... More

We stayed for one night after landing in anchorage with plans to drive north the following day. It's very "alaskan" with the stuffed taxidermy animal decor. The staff were not particularly professional ( we had to call twice for the shuttle to the airport) but everyone was nice and friendly and at least apologized if they made a mistake. The... More

I wasn't expecting too much to be honest, a quite remote part of the world with limited choice. But unless you were into taxidermy , or fancied a trip to a natural history museum, this would be your ideal staying place! As I said perfect for a taxidermy convention, they'd love it!! Full of stuffed bears goats ducks and everything... More

Was on an escorted tour so I did not have a choice. Located near the airport. The hotel provides a free shuttle to the airport every half hour, first come, first serve. The hotel has a restaurant, Flying Machine (ate breakfast there, very good in my opinion) and a separate bar. The hotel has a view of the float plane... More

We were booked into this hotel as part of a tour and after looking at the reviews requested a different hotel, but we were unable to get one. First the room, I had requested a lakeside room on either the third, or fourth floor and was given one on the streetside of the fourth floor. Given that the weather was... More

I booked this hotel based on its location to the airport and the ambiance of overlooking Lake Hood. I thought even if the rooms weren't great, at least I could sit outside on the deck and watch the seaplanes taking off and landing. The only place to sit is on an uncovered patio, The rooms and the hotel lobby are... More

Neat older hotel with lots of nice taxidermy, a cool bar, and clean rooms with comfortable beds. Bathrooms are older and need a refurb. The one BIG drawback to this hotel is that the air conditioning is TERRIBLE. The window units are old and barely function only when the drapes are open. This is a big problem in Alaska because... Poor choice when we stayed here. All the tour parties come here either at the end or start of the their journeys. There are always people up and about so not very quiet in the room. Room also poor, bed size was the smallest we had experienced during our holiday and deco is "just okay". What finished us off was... More

I was thankful to have a place to stay near Anchorage Airport where I could crash when I arrived at 1am. After getting my rental car, I drove to this hotel, only five minutes from the airport. The late night staff was cranky and tired at best. Because I booked my room via a third party, I was put in... More

Extremely disappointed. We stayed here years ago because of its fabulous location. Not only is the hotel dated, it is going downhill fast. Elevators and blow dryers are gasping for their last breath. It has a policy of one bottle of shampoo per room with no other amenities. Staff informed us it was cost cutting. Lakefront does not mean you... More
