We stayed at this hotel one night after arriving in Anchorage late. The hotel itself is dated and worn. It took 10 minutes for the hot water to work in the room. The front counter staff was friendly and courteous. The major problem we had was the various disturbances throughout the night. There was a group of people fighting in... more

Unlike reputation of this hotel, our stay was not comfortable. The room is rather old and needs renovated. Staffs were not friendly at all and not customer-oriented. It is sad to say but I would not stay this hotel in the future. more

We wanted to find a hotel with an indoor pool, since it was supposed to rain that day. This was the cheapest and was right in the middle of downtown. Since we were coming from the other side of the city, we couldn't find it since there was no sign. Then, they did let us check in earlier than usual,... more

Lodging in Anchorage is very expensive in the summer. Some choices that may sound good for the money are not necessarily so. You have to be careful and do your homework. The online single rate for this hotel was $189. I booked throught Talkeetna Travel and got it for $139. Stayed there the first and final nights of my trip... more

Hotel very conivienienlty located in heart of downtown Anchorage- big plus is proximity to Alaska Railroad station;fit well with my plans because I used the train a lot during my two-week vacation to Alaska last August. Also within walking distance of all major tourist sights in the city. Anything farther away could be seen by using the free shuttle at... more

Visiting Anchorage for a conference it quickly dawned on me that March is not the time to visit Alaska, with ice, water, snow covering all roads - as well as the HoJo parking lot - and no visible lane lines in the streets. it is not the place for a sun belt native to be driving. This is also the... more

I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times but this last time was the worst. First of all we couldnt get into our room till 330pm, the first night there were 2 and 3 year old children running up and down the hallways at 4 in the morning banging on the doors. It was so bad, I had... more

Okay hotel, but had better..Location was nice. We could walk to the trainstation. market just one block away, as well as the salmon river, shops and restaurants. Restaurant inside hotel was nice, and affordable. Long walk with stairs in between to your room. wireless internet. Room pretty small but clean. Overall we had a good stay. more

Very friendly and helpful staff but HORRIBLE ROOMS. Bad smell. A/C didn't work. Sink clogged and no toilet paper. Room didn't looked like it was turned over. I don't think they even change the sheets. Very scary. Esp at $200/night during peak summer season. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Stay at Ramada Inn next door. You can still earn TripRewards and its... more
