I would have rather stayed in a tent in Afghanistan. Every time I tried to get into room, I had to get hotel staff to open b/c they couldn't fix door. Desk had dirt film on it. Floor had debris on it. Bath towel was a hand towel. Phone didn't work. Their website advertise decent looking rooms. Beware.

I was on my way to the Lower 48 with my family, but needed to stay in Anchorage for one night. It was a good thing that I only needed to stay at the Lofts for one night. The room was definitely too small for 2 beds, and the carpet in the room was horribly stained. There were 3 big... More

We stayed for one night on our Alaska trip , Glad it was just one night. Pro 1, Good downtown location hence can explore downtown without needing car. 2. In budget. Cons 1. Weird /odd smell in hallway and Room. We had to do a brisk walk to reach the room asap to avoid this smell. Didn't know what caused... More

This was a horrendous place. The first room I was given was filthy, the phone did not work, and the blackout curtain was torn from the rod. I asked for another room and was given one of the "nicer" rooms - cleaner but still awful. The bathroom sink had been converted into a mini kitchen, complete with hot plate. The... More

This is a downtown budget hotel and as such it is a bit run down; worn carpets and that odd 'smell' in the hallways. However the excellent staff is why I give it 4 stars. They were super friendly and helpful. I had a problem with a shipped package that failed to show up and the front desk folks did... More

I stayed at the Lofts for over a month. It's located in the heart of Downtown. During the winter, many of the homeless/unfortunates book out rooms for extended stays to keep out of the cold. People sleeping in the stair wells etc. They can be pretty rowdy and there were a couple of assaults on the premises during my stay.... More

Checked in at noon and stayed a night. Picked this because it was the cheapest I could find in downtown area. Anchorage is expensive!! Location is good, close to 5th Ave shopping mall. Other cafes and shops were within walking distance. Hotel staff were helpful. They helped me arrange for transport to airport and readily provided directions to places I... More

I stayed in a newly remodeled room and it was very clean and comfortable. I had the best home cooked breakfast and dinner I've ever had. The staff was very friendly and hospitable. A great place and great value.

One of the worst hotels that i have stayed at. first they said that they had a walk-in handicap shower but they weren't sure which room, they gave us three rooms to check and none had a walk-in shower. Then they said to just wait in one of the rooms and she would get back to me shortly, she called... More

My husband & I stayed here over the weekend & had a wonderful experience! The room we stayed in was clean with new carpeting & a super comfortable bed. The location was perfect- right across from the water & two blocks from all the great shops & restaurants. The staff was amazing & made us feel like we were part... More
