The hotel was in a pretty good location, on the south side of town right on the Seward Highway. Our room was cute, like an efficiency apartment. Unfortunately, it was a "pet" room and the cleaning staff wasn't very thorough. We got cleaning stuff and cleaned the room ourselves the day we arrived. The Creekwood Inn is a decent place for the price. You could probably find a better value, but it would take some work. The motel is pretty old so don't expect a "new" look. The laundry facilities are not well maintained which is my biggest complaint. Otherwise, the Creekwood Inn was one of the cheaper places in Anchorage. It's acceptable... more

We chose the Creekwood Inn for a weekend visit because it offered affordable rates compared with other hotels in Anchorage and it had one very positive review on TripAdvisor. We stayed at Creekwood Inn twice in June. First 3 nights we were in a hotel room--basic thin towel type--ok. The second time we stayed in their touted 'cabin', which appeared to be a disguised RV from the inside. We moved from Indianapolis to Anchorage mid-June 2003. We stayed at Hillside on Gambell while searching for permanent housing. Bearing in mind the Anchorage hotel market in the summer season, the prices were VERY reasonable. The furniture is older, but in good condition.
