As with another Anchorage hotel at which my family stayed, the selling point here is the downtown location. There is no breakfast, but our room did have a microwave and fridge. The furniture, sink/vanity, etc are very old and bare bones. Price was average for Alaska. There was a very efficient shuttle from the airport. We had to be at... More

The staff was very nice, Really the reason I gave 4 stars. They don't serve any breakfast here and at $174.00 a night I feel there maybe could be some cereal or toast. Otherwise it was a very nice stay for a cheaper price I would definitely return. Also they had free WiFi but it didn't reach the room I... More

After a booking mixup at another hotel, we walked into the GH and was met with a very pleasant and helpful staff who went out of their way to help us. Our room was not the Sheraton, but it was very clean and comfortable and convenient to downtown, the Museum and visitors Centre. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone,... More

We checked in to the hotel when another big group was trying to check in and you could tell right away that the two woman working the front desk needed to be retrained on customer service and courties. I understand it's frustrating trying to communicate with people that speak a different language but you should be prepared for that working... More

We stayed in a non-suite with elevator access. Our room was just barely ok. It was clean, but the carpet and bathroom are old, and dirt just builds up over the years. They also skimp a bit on towels and sheets- both are a little scratchy. What the place does have going for it is location, which is downtown and... More

Our group of 8 stayed here 3 times for just one night each during our 2 week tour of Alaska. The hotel and rooms themselves are very basic but sufficient, the service however is top notch. From the front desk to shuttle to housekeeping, everyone was friendly, professional and accommodating. We would stay again.

I want to thank Tammy for arranging three rooms for us so our family and friends can be together. Staff are very helpful. We like Eric the driver. The hotel is nothing fancy and have no view but it is close to downtown. We walked all over when we were there, like the Anchorage Museum, the Fifth Street Mall, the... More

I've stayed at this property a number of times when it was a Days Inn. I did not feel that it has changed since then. It is convenient to downtown restaurants, has an airport shuttle and meets my basic needs. The shuttle drivers were all most friendly and pleasant. The front desk staff was cool and aloof, not much enthusiasm... More

For a value price, the hotel is adequate. Parking can be a challenge and the clientele is sometimes questionable, but the room is sufficient and the location in downtown is an easy walk to anywhere. I have stayed here twice as it's often a hit on Priceline "choose your price" bids. I'd rate the overall experience slightly above average.
