This place was actually better than I expected. Downtown is about a 10-15 minute drive along local streets which isn't bad. This hotel has it's own restaurant and bar. We recently stayed at the Best Western Golden Lion in Anchorage. We enjoyed our stay very much. The Staff was very friendly and helful. Our room was clean and had a Microwave and refrigerator. Very nice when you are traveling with children. more

The room we checked into on the 3rd floor, was never cleaned. Beds were made, but sheets had not been changed, all stained. Microwave and refriderator were so dirty, could not have been cleaned in a very long time. The shower curtain did not have a liner and had chewed gum all over curtain.
