I stayed there only for one night even though I paid for 3 night because the room was so dirty, dusty and smell. My children were coughing most of the time. We left in the morning because we couldn't stand there a bit. more

I was pleasantly surprised with the Ramada Inn Downtown. I stay at lots of value hotels throughout the year, and this is by far one of the best. I was very impressed with the comfort of the bed and the amenities in the room (includes small fridge and microwave in addition to coffee pot). There is also free WiFi and... more

I stayed for four nights at the Ramada and found it to be very good value for money. There was a complimentary shuttle service from the airport with a very informative driver. I found the front desk staff very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean. There was a slight musty smell in the room when I first... more

Our three night stay at the Ramada bookended the Anchorage-based portion of our Alaska vacation. In the short summer season, reasonably priced hotel rooms are hard to come by and the Ramada was a bargain relative to other hotels. We stayed one night upon arrival from from NY and two nights after visting Denali and before catching the train to... more

Our room was obviously remodeled, quaint and certainly well appointed for the price. People were great, service perfect. Our shuttle driver from the airport very informative about the area and her suggestions. BUT not only is there no air conditioning in this hotel, there is no fan either....it's miserably hot! We are from Phoenix and came to Alaska to escape... more

Thank you for your time in rating the Ramada Anchorage Downtown. I am pleased that some of the key areas that you rated our property on were outstanding. We have done extensive remodeling and continue to make upgrades at the property. There are a couple of rooms that need to have air conditioning installed. I appreciate your input and will...

If you leave your do not disturb sign on the door until check out time and you are staying for more days, the staff does not clean your room. Make sure front desk knows you want it cleaned. After they clean the room, make sure they shut the door tight. Our door was left ajared. more

Due to the poor economy which created an unknown occupancy at the hotel, our housekeeping staff was supplemented with some temporary employees from a local employment agency this summer. I have several housekeepers whom have worked at the Ramada Anchorage Downtown since opening in 2003. They are reliable and hardworking. Our standard policy for housekeeping is to go back and...

We needed a cheap hotel for one night with room for 5. After searching through Hotels.com we decided on this hotel because of its price and name. We knew in advance not to expect much for the price we paid. The hotel is old and plays the part well. That being said it seems to be maintained in pretty good... more

Thank you for taking the time to share your stay at our hotel. The Ramada Anchorage Downtown is a value property with great staff. I am pleased that was your experience during your visit. We are fortunate to have parking in downtown Anchorage and there is additional parking along the 3rd and A street side of the building. Again, I...

Large, but even with all rooms sold out, it didn't feel crowded. Excellent hot/cold breakfast buffet. Free internet access computer in the lobby (one) with first come, first serve access. Easy walking access to visitor center and 4th street (ave?) shopping. Big clean rooms. more

After a 14 hour day closing up house in Anchorage we were looking forward to our reserved king suite with separate sitting area and Jacuzzi tub. What we got was a standard room with a sofa crammed into one end of the room, what.. this is the separate sitting area?? We looked for the Jacuzzi tub and after opening a... more

We have 2 different types of suite rooms. Our larger suite rooms have corner Jacuzzi tubs. The junior suite has a standard jetted tub. Unfortunately, the newly hired reservationist didn’t know we had different tub types in the suite rooms. I am sincerely sorry that your stay was anything but pleasant. Thank you for bringing all of your issues to...

Firstly the pre-booked free airport shuttle was a bonus and our driver was bright and offered helpful advice on what to do/where to eat around Anchorage. She even took us for a bit of a tour enroute to the hotel. Hotel staff were polite & efficient. Room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint was those trains...they sounded their horns... more
