When arrived, it was quiet. After checking in with the girl at the front desk, we were very surprised to see the large size of the room. Our room had only a king size bed and plenty of room around the bed for a team of people. The couch made into a cozy place for the 3rd person in our... more

My wife and family stayed at the Parkwood after a mess up with a reservation at a Marriot property. This place needs some TLC and some people there that want to keep the place up. The room was not as clean as one would expect, and it had a kitchenette with NO pots/pans or utencils. I think they like to... more

I needed a place to stay with my family and some friends, and tried to book in Motel6 or Super 8. Both were full, but the person in super 8 recommended this place, so we booked for two nights. The place was old and shabby, stains in the carpet and filthy bathroom. They said they would charge 158$, but made... more

Frommer's said it was a good value so we went there. Anchorage is expensive but this place is old and nasty. Beds were uncomfortable and they have no hairdryers. We went out and purchased some canldes to overcome the stale smell. When I asked about the price she first stated $199 and I knew that was too much so I... more

This hotel has a lazy staff who sometimes gives you new towels ( Only when we tipped), clean only what they have to clean. There were holes in the bathroom wall, very dirty windows with no way to open them, Very hot water hooked up to the toilet, carpet filthy, smelling of beer, rusty and filthy stove hood, safety concerns... more

The piece and quiet on the website has to be sarcasm! This place is right next to the very busy Seward Highway and subjected to the 24/7 buzz of heavy traffic. The kitchen had a refrigerator and full size stove, but hardly any dishes, no microwave and mostly, was filthy. Part of someones meal stuck to the frying pan (the... more

The room was large and clean, if shopworn. The alleged "full kitchen" has no pans or cooking utensils, no microwave, no toaster -- in short, no way to cook. All the shelves had been removed from the cabinets which were dirty. The staff told my wife that it didn't matter if the cabinets were dirty because there was nothing to... more

The customer service of this place is absolutely horrid. The condition of the building is completely failing. I don't know how or where they've renovated, because I wasn't able to tell. Yes, they are under new management, but the attitude of the owners and others that are employed at this establishment might have lightened my view of this place if... more

I stayed here while on business in Anchorage that required me to stay 2 weeks. I needed a place close to the Airport and I wanted a full kitchen and the feel of being home. This place definitely provided that atmosphere and allowed me to cook my own meals in the fully equipped kitchen. It is not the feel of... more
