I stayed at this hotel as part of a Holland America land tour. You do get a lot of tour groups staying here so it might be one to avoid if you are an independent traveller and don't want to be trampled by a large party arriving or leaving. That said I did think it was a good hotel in... more

We stayed one night at the Westmark hotel in Anchorage and completely enjoyed it. The hotel is located near the mall, great restuarants, pier, and major roads. The bedroom was spacious and well decorated. Bathroom was small with bedroom located sink and vanity. Outside noise filtered into the room but the thick blackout drapes kept the 22 hours of sunlight... more

The view was absolutely wonderful from the 14 floor towards the ocean. But the rooms were either to hot or to cold and they didn't have microwaves or fridges in the rooms and i had to find my own parking and pay for it. I would only stay there again for the view and the convenience of everything nearby. more

We arrived at the hotel at 4am after 35 hours of travelling from Australia. The hotel was advised by our travel agent of our late arrival. We had also emailed the hotel to advise of this and also that the day of our arrival was our wedding anniversary. The night clerk advised us our room had been given away and... more

We stayed here as part of a Gray Line/Holland America Land Tour. We stayed here 1 night at the beginning of the tour and 1 night at the end of the tour. I did not think this hotel is up to Holland American standards (the hotel is owned by Holland America). I was very disappointed. If this is how Holland... more

The location of this hotel is great - right across the street from lots of resturants and close to shopping. Holland America uses this as a base for lots of tour groups and they have a lot of events going on. We were not there with a tour, so we tried to avoid the lobby when they arrived. This hotel... more

Quite expensive for what you get -- the "vibe" can only be described as cheap, dirty and late seventies. For $275 a night, they should spend the money to get some decent sheets and comforters to spruce the place up a bit. The location is convenient, but that is the only benefit to this place. Luckily, we only stayed there... more

We stayed at the Westmark Anchorage as part of a Holland America Cruisetour. Downtown Anchorage isn't very big, and the hotel is convenient to anything you'd want to do downtown. There's a Holland America tour desk in the lobby, so you can arrange trips right from the hotel. The Anchorage visitors center is about 2 blocks away. Our room was... more

I have stayed at the Westmark Anchorage on several occassions when I have visited the city. I stay there because I like the location. The hotel is centrally located and in the heart of the shopping district and restaurants. After my last visit in which I stayed three nights, I think I am ready to try the Hilton or Sheraton.... more

We stay with this hotel as a package deal and when we got there we was trying to find somewhere to eat and I went down and ask the grey line tour group that is located in the hotel and the suggested the hotel bar & grill boy was that a bad mistake went over and stand for 5 minutes... more
