The Westmark could not be better located. The resturaunt across the street is rated as one of the best in Anchorage and I believe it! They brew their own rootbeer/beer and I went every night just to get the rootbeer. You are walking distance from everything great about anchorage city life and a very short drive from some of the most spectacular nature I have ever seen. The accomodations were clean and comfortable, but not above the standard of your average Holiday Inn. Most hotels of this type have a continental breakfast but this did not. That would have greatly helped the cost of the stay. Also, they are a little pricy for what they offer, but if you are looking for something above the level of a Comfort Inn and below the level of a Marriot, this is a great place. There is a nice lobby with couches and a wonderful fireplace. I would recommend the Westmark for friends on a fun trip, families, or business travelers. more
