I found Mahogany Manor under unusual circumstances. My mother and stepfather were on their honeymoon in the Yukon, when my mother fell and badly broke her ankle. I flew to Anchorage from Florida to meet up with her at the hospital in Anchorage that she had been medivac'd to. It was the height of season and I am beyond lucky to have happened upon Mahogany Manor. Mary Ernst (who really should be dubbed 'Saint Mary') and her husband, Russ Campbell really saved our family. Mary went so above and beyond the call of duty in taking care of us. Because we were hotel-bound when my mother was discharged from the hospital, Mary made special trips to the grocery for us to obtain ice for Mom's ice pack and some food items that mom sought. She also dug up videos and DVDs for Mom to watch as she convalesced. Mary further made a special trip to ship a gigantic package home to my mom in Florida.
