I have stayed at the hotel on several trips, including recently, and just love it. The service is excellent, the rooms are spacious and the hotel is perfectly located to walk around and see the Anchorage sites and visit some great restaurants. The health club is the best I have ever seen in a hotel - with full swimming pool,... More

Upon checking in, I discovered a discrepancy in room type requested. The clerk explained to me that since I had booked through Expedia, that was like buying a used car, that Expedia does not actually know the product they sell. Service went downhill from there. Our room was not cleaned, wakeup calls not received, and the restaurant food was mediocre... More

We had one night in Anchorage as part of a tour of Alaska that culminated with a cruise from Seward to Vancouver. Staying at this hotel was one of the highlights of a great trip. Our beautiful room was on the 14th floor, so we had the spectacular view of the bay.The first floor has various shops that focus on... More

My family stayed here on our last night of our Alaska vacation. The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked well. The location was very convenient to walk around downtown Anchorage. We left very early in the morning and did not get a chance to explore more of the hotel. The only negative is we stayed... More

We a tarted our Alaska vacation with two nights at the Captain Cook. We were surprised to find we were given a suite, which was very comfortable and nicely appointed! The hotel is in a great location and we were able to walk to all our destinations. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Anchorage.

I LOVE THE BED! yes, rooms are a tiny dated BUT it add to the charm of being in Alaska. Personnel very attentive and extremely nice. Easy to walk to dinner. Starbucks coffee in the room, overall a wonderful stay. Loved the old charm of this hotel.

If you are looking for a base to explore anchorage Captain Cook is a great location to get to downtown sights or if you are taking a tour many pick up there or at the Egan Centre a couple of blocks away. Rooms were old and worn looking but clean. Very busy but staffed well. Would advise you eat breakfast... More

A nice, simple overnight after a week on the Kenai fishing for silvers. Easy access to airport and the coffee bar highlighting a local supplier was a very nice ending to our trip. Keep up the good work!

Nice comfortable room. Lucked out with a great view of the Sound from our room on 7th floor. Toilet didn't work well. No coke machine in building. Great staff. Great service. Great location. We would stay again. Be sure and check out the walk along the sound just 2 blocks from hotel.
