It’s February 2014. My boys Seth, Matt, and new son-in-law Jeremy are already far into excite mode for our August 2014 trip to Wilderness. This will be Jeremy’s’ first trip along with my brother, his son, my cousin and a colleague of Jeremy’s. This will be my 4th and my sons’ 3rd trip to Wilderness. I can’t say much more... More

My husband and I went to Alaska for the very first time, and were SO incredibly happy that Wilderness Place Lodge was included in our trip of a lifetime. We knew a few people that had visited WPL, and they had given such rave reviews that we had to experience it for ourselves....and are we happy that we did! Everything... More

My daughter, wife and I spent five days fishing at Wilderness Place Lodge. The fishing for salmon was unbelievable. We caught four different species; Pinks, Silvers, Sockeyes and Chum (the King run was over). We limited on silvers almost every day. There were times we actually got tired of catching fish and were just content to sit and watch hundreds... More

We had an absolutely fantastic trip to Wilderness Place Lodge. The fishing for cohos was as good as it gets. Kyle, our guide, knew exactly where the fish would be and what flies to use. By 9:00 every morning we had our limit so were able to catch and release many more fish throughout the day. The lodge staff was... More

Grab your Bucket and get down to Lake Creek! This is THE Lodge to be all Lodges! We needed an off the grid, relaxing and fun vacation and we got that, but we got SO much more! We had Nick, one of the Guides, as a guest on our float plane ride to the Lodge. Seems he had a close... More

If you're looking for a fly-in trip where the hospitality is as great as the fishing, look no further than Wilderness Place Lodge. These folks have got "fine fishing and dining" down to a science, and our three-days there provided some of the best memories of our two weeks in Alaska. You arrive at the lodge via Rust's Flying Service... More

From the moment we stepped off the float plane our wonderful adventure began. Our personal guide for the week, Bryce, met us with a huge welcoming smile, the reception at the lodge by the manager Noah made us feel right at home and the rest of the staff, Liz and the "guys", reminded us all the time that they were... Dee & Pete. Thanks for your feedback! It was truly a pleasure having you both stay with us this June. Really, I feel that it's the people that makes the experience here: establishing relationships, making memories and swapping fish stories. We have this good fortune of gathering great personalities in our special Wilderness Place, both staff and guests. That in... More

I took my 11 year old daughter up for a weeks Salmon Fishing and after browsing online, chose Wilderness Place lodge as our destination. Its always a lottery picking a lodge online but this is one lottery I won! The lodge is reached via a short floatplane ride from Anchorage which lands on the Yentna river and is already an... More
