We had a two week circle of Alaska, and stayed at 6 B+Bs and 4 hotels, plus others in Seattle and Vancouver. I'm reviewing the 6 B+Bs competitively, as the rates were reasonably clustered. We're tough, so 5 stars just about means perfection, but we're reasonable, to we look at the fun of less than perfection. The Wildflower gets the... more

From the original phone call about reservations, I knew I was in good hands for my first nights in Alaska. When I arrived around 10:30 p.m., Larry showed me around the b&b, described its history, and took my heavy suitcase to my downstairs room. Each morning Allan prepared an amazing egg creation for breakfast, and good coffee flowed. My friend... more

This is a good cheap alternative to the hotels in Anchorage. We stayed here specifically because we could not find a hotel in Anchorage on Tripadvisor that sounded very nice. The owners are very nice and helpful. Bathrooms are cleaned but the beds are not made. The suites are large and adequate and you get use of the living room.... more

We stayed in the basement room. It was clean and comfortable. If there are people in the dining room, above the basement room it is noisy, but people were respectful and were out of the dining area by 9:30 pm. Because we were in the basement we did not hear the street traffic noise that others have mentioned. We were... more

My husband and I stayed at Wildflower Inn for our first and last nights in Alaska on a recent 2 week trip. Finding the B&B from the airport was a breeze and it was just a quick 10 minute drive. It's an easy walk to the downtown shops and restaurants, as well, making it a very convenient location for exploring... more

My wife and stayed here for over a week during July. We used it as a base for exploring Anchorage, as it is well located for doing such. Larry and Allen also allowed us to storage luggage there when we visited Seward and Denali. Other reviews have described much of what we experienced. A great breakfast, a friendly family environment... more

Stayed here for three nights. We really enjoyed the bed and breakfast experience -- and the Wildflower Inn was the best of the three we stayed in while in Alaska. Larry and Allan (the owners) made us feel at home and like family. We had a private bedroom, sitting room and bathroom. The freshly made breakfast each morning was excellent.... more

We stayed in the upstairs room which was clean and nice , and bed was comfortable with a private bath stocked with everything ! High recommend this B&B... more

Larry and Allan are wonderful hosts. As others have said, they provide many thoughtful extras for their guests, including books, videos, and a wifi link that worked perfectly. There's always coffee, tea, and snacks. Everything's clean and attractive, of course, but what really makes this such a special place to stay is the warm and welcoming atmosphere that Larry and... more

I have yet to find a hotel, motel or B and B better suited to a visit to Anchorage than the Wildflower Inn. I travel to Anchorage three to four times a year and since finding the Wildflower, I have stayed there multiple times and it is ALWAYS the first place I call. The Inn itself is warm and inviting.... more
