We had booked this for a one night stay after our Alaskan cruise and were so very exceptionally disappointed. First of all the hotel is very run down. Secondly and most important when i pulled back the bed covers the sheets were dirty and stained. Upon checking the bathroom there was a partially used bar of soap in the shower... More

This hotel is not the Captain Cook but then neither is its price! My friend and I were looking for somewhere clean, conveniently located and relatively cheap having come to the end of our two week trip around Alaska. This hotel met those requirements. We had the downstairs room with two queen beds. Though slightly noisy when the window was... More

Good location downtown and in walking distance from shopping, museum, and restaurants. The hotel room was spacious with two beds, but certainly could use a facelift in terms of the carpet and the bathroom, however, it was clean. It was reasonably priced for Anchorage, so I feel we got what we paid for.

I visited Anchorage Alaska during the week of July 7th,2014.I was in for a real shock. The hotel was a DUMP.There was no on site security. The room had no air conditioner and had a stale odor from the wet carpet. The hotel had one young staff person with a multitude of duties : picking up people from the airport and closing... While the staff is pleasant the acomodations are not. At almost $200 a night after taxes the room is very unsatisfactory. Our cruise ship cabin was larger and we had the small cabin. Queen size bed took up 3/4 of the rooms floor space. Dresser and night stand looked like yard sale items. No air conditioning only a small ceiling... More

Meh. Price was good comparably to other Anchorage hotels, but it didn't quite stack up. Rooms are tiny, only have a ceiling fan for cooling. Room was fairly clean, however the building is LOUD, sleeping was difficult. No elevators so you'll have to carry your luggage upstairs. It's serviceable if you're on a budget, if you can afford to, look... More

This little boutique hotel had a lot going for it. The price was very reasonable. The bathroom was recently remodeled, the room included breakfast and a free shuttle to the airport and each room has its own mini refrigerator and coffee maker. Staff were excellent.

The best thing about this hotel is the staff. The young staff are great very happy to help. The hotel looks fine when you pull up small with flowers out the front. The hotel only has 16 rooms. We had the king room which was supposed to be the best our room was on the ground floor. (we did not... More

when we arrived the buildings exterior was less than impressive which was compounded by the lack of a lavish lobby. After check-in, however, the atmosphere did a 180. The rooms are enormous with huge windows, plenty of heat, jacuzzi baths and newly installed beds - TWO DOUBLES. The view provided a panorama of the Alaskan Range. The hotel is a... More

One of the hotel staff was not particularly competent. She initially could not provide us for secure suitcase lockup before check-in time (another employee later had no problem with that),.. and then she asked to charge my credit card for an already paid for Expedia purchase (my bad for not sticking to my guns). The next shift took time to... More
