We chose this hotel, despite varying reviews, for the price and free airport shuttle. The 2 bdrm suite worked great for our family. The room was clean with a VERY comfy bed even though the room looked a little "tired". The blackout curtains were great for the long Alaska days. Breakfast was fine - same offerings every day, but there... More

We stayed here for 2 nights. The first night we told them we might need the room another night. They said OK, to let them know first thing in the morning. Our room was nice, clean and just what we were looking for. When we stopped by the office in the morning, we were told they had rented our room... More

Musty hallways and rooms, and not cheap either... be prepared to pay a triple digit room rate during the summer. The building with the suites does not have an elevator, so be prepared to lug your luggage up 1 or 2 flights of stairs yourself.

The Eagle nest hotel in Anchorage was a bad experience. The reception need a smile, the breakfast included (a joke), only coffee, juice and one muffin. At the 3rd morning, no more juice and muffin !! The breakfast room was really dirty !! The hotel is not very clean but the room was ok, good furnished with bathroom and TV.... More

Sometimes cheap isn't worth it. We failed to realize how busy and expensive Anchorage can get in summer. After calling other places and finding they were full, I should have been wary when the Eagle's Nest assured me they had plenty of rooms. The place is quite shabby. The bed sheets look like they came from Goodwill -- floral patterns,... More

I read the reviews on here and they make this hotel seem horrible. It really isn't that bad. My family and I got a two bedroom room with a jacuzzi, TV, refrigerator, kitchen sink thing, and another bathroom with a shower. The room it set up a little strangely, but it's nothing someone couldn't deal with. The only thing I... More

It looks decent from the outside, but once inside it's very grungy, but they had already swiped our card before even giving us our keys for the room (probably because they knew we'd RUN). The people in the room next door were having a full on domestic disturbance, and the staff didn't do anything about it until I called (2hrs... More

I booked by phone into this hotel. When I arrived, I decided that there was no way I was staying there. The halls looked like it had been years since they were cleaned or painted. Tiles were broken. The carpet was worn and torn. The smell of the place was terrible. I checked out and found a better place to... More

I have lived in several third-world countries, and I must say this joint does a good imitation of some third-world hotels I have had the misfortune to visit. Oh my goodness! What an awful place! It was their ridiculous cancellation policy and lack of transportation that kept me there. But, traveler, BEWARE! Do NOT stay here! It's like a haven... More
