We stayed one night at the Oscar Gill House. The owners have done an amazing job of renovating this historic house (it is the oldest house in town). The three rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was great. Two of the rooms share a bath and the other room has a private bath. We shared a bath and did not... More

B&B was small but conveniently located in Anchorage. Easy to walk to downtown and to the park near the water. Mark was very helpful with suggesting places to visit during our 2 night stay. Prices are reasonable and rooms had all the conveniences. I would rate this as one of the best B&B's I have visited.

This welcoming historical b&b is within walking distance of downtown visitor's attractions. It has a beautiful yard for sitting outside in the summer. The breakfast is fantastic. We stayed two nights and two in our party of four were even upgraded to the suite for one night when it was available. It's quite reasonable when compared with other Anchorage rates.... More

The bed and breakfast is a nice place to stay, and the host are arranging (they will prepare you a breakfast to go, or will serve breakfast, which is good, slightly earlier than there usual schedule if you need to leave early). Also, the prices are reasonable, which is appreciable in a city as expensive as Anchorage. The house is... More

This would be up there with one of the best in B&B's we have stayed in around the world. Mark and Susan have all the extra little comforts of home to make you fee relaxed. Very helpful planning activities and making suggestions. We stayed in the room with an ensuite and spa bath, which was appreciated after all the walking.... More

Sue and Mark are very experienced and excellent B&B hosts. They know just the level of interaction to give. As much information as you want or need for local sites and restaurants and enough space to let you relax on your own with the freedom to come and go as you need. The Oscar Gill House is perfectly located close... More

My husband and I stayed at Oscar Gill House for two nights in September, 2012. This beautiful, historic inn is absolutely charming! When we walked inside, we felt like we’d stepped back in time to 1913, when the house was built. The owners, Mark and Susan, have tastefully and thoughtfully restored the home and filled it with period furniture and... More

Had we known what this B&B was like we would have stayed longer. From the moment we arrived and were offered the most delicious homemade chai tea I've ever tasted, I felt like Alice did when she dropped down the rabbit hole - a wonderful discovery. It's absolutely delightful, and we so enjoyed being spoiled with a spa bath &... More

We spent one night at the Oscar Gill house. My husband declared it the most interesting B&B we stayed at. It is the oldest house in Anchorageand has lots to browse. We found everything clean and acceptable. The room was small, things are very creaky, and my husband was wishing for a TV. The location was great .. a long... More

I spent two random nights at Oscar Gill B&B and found it to be delightful: quiet (I arrived from CST and had not adjusted to Alaska time so crashed early), impeccably clean, super quiet and comfortable, with interesting appointments and artifacts throughout the house. Susan is one of the most intelligent, convivial and amusing people I have ever been privileged... More
