I am a musher, park ranger, and film producer living in the Denali area. I'm not very comfortable in hotels but Qupqugiaq made me feel right at home in the big city. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable, clean, quiet and original. Highly, highly recommended. Thanks Qupqugiaq I'll be back soon!

Place smells like Rotten cheese and body odor. stay away from staying in a pod. Not quiet there's a tv in the main lobby and they... More

This place was frighteningly disgusting. I had to stay on top of the blankets. The curtains where stained flannel sheets. The bathroom was from a horror movie!!! There was a trailer parked outside our room that stunk so bad and it was where the manager was staying. Carpets stained, old and NASTY! The place smelled like a cross between BO... More

Stayed here two nights during my short business trip. If you're looking for cheap place to stay, this is it. By cheap I don't mean run down, dirty place. This inn is alright if you're solo or a couple. They have private rooms with bathroom s but the most affordable have shared bathroom. No problems with that though. The rooms... More

Terrible rooms, they smell awful. The guy at the reception tried helping out, they only had one room that was nice and looked renovated but then it turned out that was already booked. We tried opening the window for an hour in one of the smelly rooms but then we just had to leave or throw up. Of course, you... More

Recently i was treated to a special gift in my travels up here to Anchorage Alaska, and that gift was the "Qupqugiaq Inn", from the moment I walked in the dorr I was not only treated as a vip, but I also felt like I had "arrived" at home, and was treated as such. When is the last time you... More

We arrived here expecting a private bathroom, we'd paid for this, they disagree but eventually gave us one. Room we were given was filthy - sliced mushroom and pizza topping crushed into the carpet, together with gum. Hole in sheet, radiator encrusted with dirt and hanging off wall, urine on floor in bathroom, bathroom door wouldn't shut as wood behind... More

Jen is great... Robert and Ryan are also very friendly... The atmosphere is very homey and I felt very comfortable there... Great location... I would recommend this hotel if you are staying in Anchorage... I don't know why anybody would write a bad review, unless they're upperclass and were expecting the taj mahal... it's great for the price... I would... More

Hotwire was misleading, but it all worked out. I stayed here two separate times during my trip in Alaska. The second night I was given a room that had a shared bathroom. The upstairs of the Inn (at least the room I had) was more of a hostel feel. When I expressed my confusion about the hotwire purchase, the gentleman... More
