Recently i was treated to a special gift in my travels up here to Anchorage Alaska, and that gift was the "Qupqugiaq Inn", from the moment I walked in the dorr I was not only treated as a vip, but I also felt like I had "arrived" at home, and was treated as such. When is the last time you... More

We arrived here expecting a private bathroom, we'd paid for this, they disagree but eventually gave us one. Room we were given was filthy - sliced mushroom and pizza topping crushed into the carpet, together with gum. Hole in sheet, radiator encrusted with dirt and hanging off wall, urine on floor in bathroom, bathroom door wouldn't shut as wood behind... More

Jen is great... Robert and Ryan are also very friendly... The atmosphere is very homey and I felt very comfortable there... Great location... I would recommend this hotel if you are staying in Anchorage... I don't know why anybody would write a bad review, unless they're upperclass and were expecting the taj mahal... it's great for the price... I would... More

Hotwire was misleading, but it all worked out. I stayed here two separate times during my trip in Alaska. The second night I was given a room that had a shared bathroom. The upstairs of the Inn (at least the room I had) was more of a hostel feel. When I expressed my confusion about the hotwire purchase, the gentleman... More

Qupqugiaq refers to a magical polar bear, which is the sort of charm this place would have if it was well managed. The style is quirky and lots of individual elements are nice: our room had a very expensive chair but the bathroom door didn't close. They planted new flowers but never washed our towels. There were lots of cute... More

Hot Wire lead us to believe that this was a chain style mid town hotel. It is not! I was a little nervous about staying there after I started reading the reviews on TripAdvisor. But the room as paid for and we only planned to stay a few short hours before our flight. I asked for an got a room... More

Even though the travel sites list this hotel as 2-star, it is a 1-star...at best. The only reason we stayed here was because of a Hotwire "Hot Deals" thing, where we didn't see the name of the hotel until we payed for it. This place is furnished with furniture that was obviously bought from thrift stores -- at least the... More

Let me start here: THIS PLACE HAS BED BUGS. If you love being bitten by bed bugs, then this is the place for you. The last night of my four night stay at the Qupqugiaq, I was moved to a different room than I had previously been in. I slept in shorts and a t-shirt. When I woke up, the... More

We would never stay here again - although some of the staff were helpful, the female manager was extremely rude. The rooms, bathrooms and kitchen were all dirty and too small to service the number of guests. The rooms were hot but windows could not be opened due to the traffic noise outside. Very poor value and not somewhere I'd... More
