The room we stayed in was clean, as were the facilities. However, the hot tub was broken, as was the television. I have only stayed in two other B&Bs (in Maine), so I do not have much to compare this to. However, I would note that the breakfasts were simple and just OK (scrambled eggs/french toast/pancakes). The food tasted fine,... more

We had a wonderful stay at the Mangy Moose. The rooms are well decorated and very clean. Sally made us feel right at home and she is an outstanding cook. There is some great hiking nearby and easy access to downtown Anchorage and the airport. One reason we stayed in a B&B was to interact with other travelers. The Moose... more

The Mangy Moose is such a warm and comfortable place to stay. Full breakfast is an understatement. Sally cooked up a delicious gourmet breakfast every day that will give you all the energy that you need to explore the wonders of Alaska. We stayed in the beary patch suite which is like having your own apartment. There was a private... more

As good as it gets. We stayed in the Arctic Suite and it was fantastic. Nice updated space. The owner is great, very helpful and not too pushy. Breakfast is excellent. more

My husband and I started our Alaska trip with two nights at the Mangy Moose and we couldn't have had a better start to our grand adventure. Everything about the Mangy Moose was delightful - the location, the room, the breakfast, and the Mama Moose and baby that showed up to say hello! (see picture) Sally was/is a wonderful hostess... more

We stayed two nights at the Mangy Moose; both at the beginning and the end of our trip to Alaska. We couldn't have been more pleased. We booked the Royal Alaskan and Klondike rooms. Both were very clean and spacious and included jacuzzi tubs. The deck off the rooms was a great place to enjoy coffee in the cool mornings.... more

The Mangy Moose is a great B&B where my wife & I stayed for 3 nights. Great location, great owners, great rooms & great breakfast. I'm not one to typically comment on food, but Sally's cooking is fantastic. She had such a great variety in her breakfasts as well. The location is so close to the city, yet in the... more

We recently spent 3 nights at Mangy Moose and found it to meet all of our high expectations. As a family of six, we reserved the Beary Patch & Gone Fishing suites which was basically one whole side of the house with its own private entrance. We had more than enough room to spread out! Even if you don't have... more

When our confirmed reservation at a different Anchorage B&B was unexpectedly cancelled, my husband and I decided to stay at the Mangy Moose! (the orig B&B was cheaper which we learned the hard way, is not always the best way to decide). The reveiews on Trip Advisor were consistantly positive and all communication with Jeff (reservations coordinator) were exceptionally helpful.... more

We have traveled the entire east coast, much of the midwest and the west coast before coming to Alaska. Over the past two years of traveling Alaska we found the Mangy Moose. We only wish we found it earlier. The Lodging was excellent, clean, charming, relaxing and the service could not have been better. Of all our travels, this was... more
