I can't even comment on the rooms as we were turned away... Our flight was delayed and we called to give a current CC number to guarantee late arrival. When we arrived to check in we were informed that the reservation was cancelled and the room was sold to someone else. To add insult to injury they also charged us... more

Lobby is lovely, the continental breakfast is good, the room was large, quiet, and comfortable, the free wifi worked without any problems... I was told by friends the property had a bad reputation in the past, but it seems to be in fine shape now. Recently remodeled. more

We have been staying at the puffin inn for at least 8 years. Sometimes in the summer it is only $10.00 more to stay at the Captain Cook in downtown. Winter time you can't beat the puffin new section. If you've ever stayed in the old section you won't do that again. its like having a 1 star hotel inside... more

We liked it. Nice place, nice people, convenient location, shuttle, very functional with things like mini-fridge + microwave in room. Looks a bit shabby from the outside, but no complaints otherwise - clean, convenient, has everything a traveler needs and a few things on top of that.
