Rita was by far one of the nicest B&B owners we encountered on our journey in Alaska. We enjoyed both of our rooms that we stayed in during our visit and the breakfasts were delicious. In addition, she kindly let us use her washing machine prior to us leaving for our cruise, which was a huge help. The gardens surrounding... More

Lovely home. Super breakfast. The Butterfly room was very comfortable. Private bath down the hall. Easy drive from airport. Our Hostess was very helpful with restaurant advice. We would stay here again.

Rita, the owner of the B and B was delightful. This B and B is set on a beautiful quiet residential street set back from street. She has beautiful collection of Alaskan artifacts around her home. the living room overlooks the beautiful gardens and has perfect lighting for reading. There is a deck,a lovely sitting area over looking the back gardens,... More

We spent 10 days in Alaska driving north and south. Anchorage turned out to be a good base from which to explore. We stayed a total of five nights at Alaskan Frontier Gardens. It's located about 15 minutes east of the city center near the trail head of Flattop Mountain. Rita, our host, is fairly laid back and serves a... More

Beautiful B and B. Wonderful freshly prepared breakfast each morning. Museum like interior with many Alaskan hand made pieces. Room very comfortable with all amenities. The Butterfly room comes with a private bathroom, however it is down the hall. This may be useful information for some travelers. Flowers everywhere in the magical yard. We would not hesitate to stay here... More

We stayed in the Ivory Room. Big room, comfortable chairs, nice décor. Breakfast was pretty good - fresh bowl of fruit, choice of kielbasa, Canadian bacon, and/or reindeer sausage, with the daily item (French toast, waffles, or scrambled eggs). Nicely landscaped gardens and friendly dog to greet you. A bit out of the way for activities and restaurants downtown, but... More

We were greeted warmly by Cisco the dog as our host Rita was out at the time. We had no problem finding our keys & instructions to our rooms. The home & gardens are beautiful. The breakfast was the most sumptuous I have ever experienced & delicious as well. Rita is a marvellous host & I would highly recommend this... More

Rita is a fabulous host that made us feel right at home. She is a great source of knowledge about all things Alaskan. She has a wonderful collection of Alaskan themed memorabilia that is worth the stay on its own. Had to shoo a moose and 2 calves out of her garden the one morning we were there ! A... More

Rita was a terrific host. She has been in the B&B business for decades and it shows. Everything a guest could possibly need or want has been anticipated. Our room keys and welcome card were placed outside the front door when we arrived, our room was furnished with a small refrigerator, a small plate of candy was kept replenished to... More

The grounds around this Bed & Breakfast were gorgeous! The flowers were bigger than I've ever seen in the "lower 48" and the general lawn area was meticulously kept! The host was very nice and gave us great advice on restaurants to eat at and places to visit! It was like having a personal trip planner or concierge! The breakfast... More
