We were traveling with a tour from a cruise line and this was our first hotel on land after spending a week aboard the ship. A fantastic hotel! Rooms: We stayed on a concierge floor with a view of the downtown area. Rooms were spacious with flat screen tvs. I found the shower area lacking a towel bar and adequate soap holders in the tub. Stayed here for 2 nights as part our Alaskan cruisetour. The room was very spacious though the furniture is a bit outdated. Bed was very comfortable. A/C worked great & bathroom was also spotless & big. It's a good place to stay in Anchorage. To eat I recommend the Glacier Brewhouse. Great food! more

We stayed at the downtown Marriott during the Iditirod. The hotel is located downtown and easy walking distance to great restaurants, bars, the mall. The hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating. The room was large with comfortable bedding and a HUGE floor-to-ceiling window with a great view of the sound. more

Excellent location in downtown anchorage, just a few blocks from good restaurants and great shopping. Very friendly staff. Excellent hot breakfast, and a waitress who is always smiling!
