Rver2016, we are pleased you had such a good time at our park. The showers are included in the nightly rate. We sure do have plenty of sites for any size RV. Our nightly covered campfire can't be beat! So come on down and BYO Smores! More

This is a nice clean park with level, compacted-gravel sites. The mountain views are great and the staff is friendly and accommodating. As far as I know, this is the first park you'll reach heading south from Anchorage on the way to Seward or Homer. We enjoyed our stay.

Still open in September with a few other campers in the park. I came here with my son and his girlfriend and then came back a week later. Can't say enough about the hospitality or the accommodations. Both times slept in the cabin with water and heat. I would definitely come back.

We spent our first night in Alaska here.....We were welcomed at the campground and after settling we joined the other guest at the campfire. We had a lovely evening and after a good night rest a nice warm shower. Before heading to Seward we walked a trail in the vicinity of campground!

We decided to stop here since we were going into Whittier. So glad we did. We were able to get a 50 Amp site with electric. No sewer at the sites, but they do have this scheduled to be done. They have a wonderful group fire pit. We sat each night and met so many people from around the world.... More

A perfect place, wonderful area, quiet, the owner helps you, if you have questions with the car etc. There is each evening a campfire, where you can meet people and have dinner. It´s also possible to use the barbecue. Perfekt! I love this place!

We stayed one night at the Portage Valley RV Park, and were satisfied with our stay. The property is surrounded by beautiful mountain views, but the RV sites are not very private. The RV site had water and electric hookups, but the dump station was shared at the back of the property. Portage Valley RV Park is a scenic RV... More

My husband and I stayed here in our small RV after a glacier tour. It's a great campground and the owners are delightful. They have free showers and are surrounded by mountains and wildlife. Just beautiful! I wished we could have stayed longer. It rained when we were here but it didn't stop us from enjoying the nature and mountains!

We were in Alaska for four weeks and stayed here three times, coming and going. I couldn't bear to stay in Anchorage, so we drove down to Portage just to stay here. It was the only place that was quiet enough to hear the birds singing in the trees. Of course, they were not full and we had some very polite... More

One of the best campgrounds we have ever stayed at. We had the pleasure to spend last weekend here at Portage Valley Cabins and RV Park. Let me just say, this place was great. The owners, Scott and Tammy, go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. They made us feel right at home and were more than willing... More
