We were traveling with our daughter and toddler grandson. 2 bedroom unit with full kitchen right downtown was perfect! Staff was great. I cannot imagine a better value. This appears to be an older apartment building converted to hotel. Paid laundry room available, BBQ and picnic tables in back patio area. We did not find many things in Anchorage that... More

The hotel's military rate is seriously the best in town!! We stayed here for 2 months while closing on our house. Myra was a gem! She made us feel like we were staying with family. We loved having a living room and kitchen. The location was perfect--we got to explore downtown like a local. Loved the weekly deep cleaning and... More

I travel to Anchorage for business and have been looking for a small hotel that is conveniently located, quiet and is clean and quiet. I stayed here recently and found exactly what I was looking for! It is well cared for and clean, and it is essentially a one bedroom apartment! So much more to my liking than a sterile... More

My daughter and I spend two nights at Duke's and found it to be a quiet, comfortable, clean, and very reasonably priced hotel. It was like having a suite at a hotel for much less money. We used the laundry facilities and had no problems. I would recommend it for families. The woman at the reception desk was very friendly.... More

We spent a total of 3 nights at Duke's (1 night, then Seward, then back for 2 nights). Both nights we checked in "after hours" = no actual person, but you have a code to get your key. That system worked flawlessly for us. We stayed in the same unit both times and it was in the basement. At first... More

Stayed one night at Dukes before boarding the train for Denali. It was everything it needed to be for a reasonable price. The staff was available if we needed them and the hotel downtown and close to the places we wanted to go. Highly recommended!

From location to accommodations, Dukes is an amazing stay. Friendly staff, the back patio makes the stay, you can hang out or BBQ, either way it is nice and quiet, center focal point for most of anchorage. Bars, restaurants, and mall are all within walking distance. You won’t find a better play for a better price. This will be my... More
