Joanna was a very good host, very accommodating and helpful in so many ways. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful, wholesome, healthy and filling breakfasts. Carried us through our sightseeing days in Anchorage. We stayed in the 60's themed room. It was funky and the bed very comfortable. Easy walking and bicycling distance from downtown. Taxi between $8 and... More

Comfortable house in slightly off-the-beaten-track neighborhood east of downtown Anchorage. JoAnna is a very kind host, friendly and thoughtful. Very reasonable prices (certainly as compared to the crazy hotel costs in Anchorage!). Well-made breakfasts, very accommodating in that regard. Met some quite interesting people in our stay, I think that places that are just a little offbeat attract some diversity,... More

Joanna was a great host and made us very welcome. We were in Jungle Joe's bungalow and found it very comfortable. It was great having an ensuite bathroom which had nice fluffy towels. This B&B is also very convenient to town. Don't be concerned at its closeness to the airfield as we certainly didn't hear any noise. We had a... More

This is not your typical B&B, so don't show up there thinking that will be the case. But that is a good thing. You are made to feel at home right away. Breakfast each morning was terrific - We were treated during our stay with an assortment of muffins, pastries, fresh fruits, eggs, bacon, reindeer sausage and beverages as well.... More

I stayed three nights total from Aug. 30th to Sept. 1st. First of all, I loved Joanna's house. It is soooo cool inside. I stayed in the Retro room and what a cool room it was. The bed and pillows were comfortable. I slept like a baby. Kay, Joanna's sister greeted me at the door when I arrived. She is... More

...Au contraire! JoAnna is a warm, welcoming host and is a great source of information about local restaurants and things to do in the area. We stayed at Planet Anchorage for a total of four nights at both ends of our Alaska vacation. The location of the B&B makes it easy to get downtown and to the airport by car.... More

I have stayed with JoAnna at the Planet Anchorage Bed and Breakfast many times over the years that I have visited Anchorage. She has a nice home that is comfortable, very clean and serves outstanding, hearty breakfasts. JoAnna's charm will immediately welcome you, so that you feel like you are visiting a favorite relative or friend. The rooms are decorated... More

We recently stayed at Planet Anchorage when we relocated to Anchorage and needed a place to stay while we were looking for a Condo. This was in the middle of summer when tourist season is at it's peak and and finding lodging for a decent price is very difficult. I found Planet Anchorage and the price was just right for... More

Very well run B&B. hosts very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the "ice station zebra" room, which was very well decorated and very comfortable. Lots of parking in front and back. Beautifully landscaped property with very nice gardens in back. Neighborhood is mostly nice, with a few sketchy properties, but good vibe overall. Breakfast was amazing. We had fresh... More

The title of this review sums up what I think of Planet Anchorage. What a fabulous B&B. I travelled alone from London and JoAnna really made me feel at home with delicious home cooked breakfasts, muffins on my return from a long day, information on where to travel and what to do, loan of a bike and helmet, washing machine,...
