The Good: Clean, comfortable, great breakfast, and delightful hostess - JoAnna. Note: Bathrooms are shared between 2 rooms-wasn't a problem for me. I can.t add much more except good value for the money spent.

My husband and I absolutely loved Planet Anchorage B&B. It was so wonderfully unpretentious and comfortable. It's in a neighborhood too which makes it 'down home'. As so many have said, JoAnna made us right at home, starting with the 'come on in' note on the front door when we arrived at 11.45 p.m. The location is convenient. It was... More

We were looking for a local place, clean, comfortable, with accessible location and not too expensive. This place is beautifully decorated with its own style. If you are bored with standard hotel setting, you will like this place. It looks actually much nicer and newer than the pictures. The bath room is clean and nice. JoAnna made us a tasty... More

JoAnna was very welcoming and helpful. The house is really nice, rooms and bathrooms very clean. Decoration is charming. The breakfast was very refreshing compare to other hotels or B&Bs, fresh fruits, home made muffin. Quiet neighbourhood, can park outside the house.

I enjoyed my stay @ Planet Anchorage it met all my needs. I was greeted by a note from my Hostess guiding me through the process. I immediately felt at home. The Home was clean and quiet. The bedroom I stayed in (although missed the name) had an awesome bed almost as nice as my own. Although a little off... More

It's difficult to add to the rave reviews already expressed, but I want to express my thanks to Joanna for her friendliness, good travel advice and for providing a pleasant home-atmosphere to come back to after a long day of sightseeing. We stayed 6 or 7 nights in total, split into the front and back ends of our 13 day... More

Joanna was a very good host, very accommodating and helpful in so many ways. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful, wholesome, healthy and filling breakfasts. Carried us through our sightseeing days in Anchorage. We stayed in the 60's themed room. It was funky and the bed very comfortable. Easy walking and bicycling distance from downtown. Taxi between $8 and... More

Comfortable house in slightly off-the-beaten-track neighborhood east of downtown Anchorage. JoAnna is a very kind host, friendly and thoughtful. Very reasonable prices (certainly as compared to the crazy hotel costs in Anchorage!). Well-made breakfasts, very accommodating in that regard. Met some quite interesting people in our stay, I think that places that are just a little offbeat attract some diversity,... More

Joanna was a great host and made us very welcome. We were in Jungle Joe's bungalow and found it very comfortable. It was great having an ensuite bathroom which had nice fluffy towels. This B&B is also very convenient to town. Don't be concerned at its closeness to the airfield as we certainly didn't hear any noise. We had a... More

This is not your typical B&B, so don't show up there thinking that will be the case. But that is a good thing. You are made to feel at home right away. Breakfast each morning was terrific - We were treated during our stay with an assortment of muffins, pastries, fresh fruits, eggs, bacon, reindeer sausage and beverages as well.... More
