This is a nice little bed and breakfast in the middle of a neighborhood. There are two rooms and both face the backyard and are very quiet and comfortable. There are some things that needed a little repair but nothing drastic. Overall not a bad place to stay in Anchorage.

My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon. Jon was a gracious host. Helpful as we planned our next stop in Alaska and very friendly. There were other couples staying there, and they were also friendly. While the bathroom was not attached to our bedroom, it was very close and no one bothered us while we were there. The... More

My wife and I were in Anchorage during the summer...daytime all the time, and it was wonderful. The best part of it all was having the Loon's Nest as our sanctuary each and every night. John, our host, was absolutely wonderful and accommodating. The breakfasts were excellent, and his conversations and knowledge of the area made us feel more than... More

We were greeted warmly by our host when we arrived at 10 pm. He offered to make us eggs and ham for breakfast because one of us is gluten free. Good, but small portions. King size bed was hard. Easy to find and convenient.

The arrival at A Loon's Nest started on a very positive note. When my friend and I arrived at their home, John and his wife were out, but they left a note on the front door and left our room unlocked. Where we come from, we would never dream of leaving our home unlocked, nor even inviting total strangers in,... More

We chose this B&B because we would be without a car and it is in a convenient location, about a 30 minute walk to downtown and also within a short walk of several restaurants, laundromat and other services. Considering the central location, it was quiet and felt safe, well set back from the street. There are two guest rooms, each... More

Room is ok but small. Breakfast very simple only some dry muffins and milch with cruesli. If you ask for it you get some joghurt. We got no chanch to enjoy our breakfast by talking and talking by host John. Surrounding is desolate. You have to go to downtown.

This is a very convenient place close to the airport. And it was a very comfortable bed, the best of our trip. Things were a little stressed the night we arrived, but calmed down once the regular support staff person was available.

Very nice B&B. Both John & Maryann were lovely hosts. Place was quite easy to find, just North of the airport. Stayed two nights, very clean, good breakfasts and charming house. Great place for the price!!

Hosts were great and very helpfull on our first visit to Alaska. Stayed several nights in location that was convenient to airport, downtown and surronding area. Room was large, quite and everything very clean and organized. Would certainly stay again and recommend.
