This was first day of vacation after very intense year and crazy week before departure. We loved the welcoming waterfall and flowers. There is a wonderful comfy shared liviing room with view of ocean and another waterfall with great water sounds. wonderful teas and cofffee are available 24/7 and fresh fruit--apricots, cherries and the usual oranges and bananas. We were... more

Well run with attentive staff. Excellent quality fruit at the continental breakfast. Lovely views of the inlet from dining room. We were in the adjacent lower building which has a separate secure entrance and its own refrigerator for restaurant leftovers, coffeemaker, microwave and sofa in the common area. Peaceful small pond/waterfall between buildings. Bike rentals outside the front door. Very... more

Lovely inn in a beautiful location. Clean, comfortable rooms. They went overboard to accommodate our unpredictable schedule and boy was it crazy and unpredictable. Very thoughtful of our needs. A definite stay for future visits to Anch. more

The room was very cozy and comfortable with breathtaking views of the Alaskan range. The service was great and the hosts were friendly and engaging. Downtown location provided easy walking access to shopping, restaurants, train station, and walking/biking paths. The tasty complimentary breakfast had a wide variety of foods to suit everyone. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. more

I have travelled a lot and been to many luxurious hotel around the globe. This place showed me a new notion of luxury. I arrived in the night in complete darkness and did´nt have to many hopes for this place I must admit. But it all changed from the moment I woke up and was greated in the the warmest... more

This is my third visit to the Copper Whale. It is as great as ever - convenient location (don't stay at one of the hotels, this place is far more comfortable, including for a business traveler), pleasant rooms, healthy & tasty breakfast, and right next to the bike trail if you want an early morning stroll. Wifi works flawlessly. Many... more

My stay at the Copper Whale was perfect and personal. Glen and Daniel were excellent hosts - always ready to assist their guests in any way that they can. The location is right downtown, just down the street from the best cafe in Anchorage, and it is also just a block up from the park down at the coast. The... more

Our team was coming to anchorage for the FREEZE project in January 2009 and when we knew that the event organizers set up our accommodations at this neat bed and breakfast right downtown, we were thrilled. But what we didn't know was that staying there was going to make such a big difference for our project and for our overall... more

Even though we only stayed one night here and decided to move, we still have to admit this is a nice B & B in a convenient location in downtown Anchorage. You can walk to most downtown attractions and restaurants. Rooms are not big but tastefully decorated. We stayed in the second building. The one in our photo came with... more

This was the first bed & breakfast experience for both my wife and I; each of us was pleased! We stayed here on the first couple nights of our honeymoon, before our honeymoon cruise. Our room was clean with a spectacular view of the mountains and water. The innkeeper was super nice, breakfast was great, and we were able to... more
