We tried to find a place to stay in Anchorage last minute in the evening but everything inexpensive was booked. The owner was very friendly and helped us out. He even picked us up at night and took us to the hotel for free. The room was a very spacious 4 bedroom with a bathroom and a kitchen-living room combo.... More

I stayed in the private room with a shared bath. The staff were friendly and check-in at midnight was possible, but the facilities weren't upto the mark. The room was dusty and the shared bath wasn't clean either. The womens' bathrooms down the corridor was much better. I did not use the shared kitchen or lounge. The noise levels were... More

From the moment we arrived in Anchorage, John and Cindy were the most gracious hosts! John picked us up from the airport and brought us to the beautiful Midtown 1-bedroom fully-furnished suite we stayed in. Kitchen was stocked with breakfast items; bathroom stocked with toiletries and fresh towels; a space for your luggage and hangers for your clothes; the bedroom... More

An airbnb property canceled on me 4 days before flying to Anchorage. I called the downtown Bent Prop location and asked for a private room for my boyfriend and I, but it was August in Alaska and they were booked up. I was calling other hostels, but Alan called me back and suggested we take a 4 bunk room to... More

Having stayed in hostels for the first time in my life, it was a true Alaska experience. My first hostel, not to be named, was at best shady but somewhat what I had expected. The last day back in Anchorage, I was lost driving around and came upon Bent Prop and the only words to describe how great the service... More

Super friendly Hostel! Few blocks from downtown. The crew and the owner are fantastic. We spent the first night in Alaska before leaving with a RV: they gave us informations about the city, took us to the Motorhome Office and didnt ask for money (~25$ with taxi). And the last day, waiting the late flight back home, they offered us... More

Called the downtown location since it's just 6 blocks from the train station to make reservations for two nights, but found out they only had vacancy for one night. "No problem though" he said as they have another property mid-town and he'd call for us to book our second night there. Wow, really nice private room the first night centrally... More

Me and two friends of mine stayed at Bent Prop Inn and it was just great staying here! We came back to Anchorage several times and we always came back to BPI. It's very cheap and the employees help you out in any situation, which makes your stay very comfortable. There is even a big kitchen which you can use.... More

Friendly hostel. Good hosts and only a couple of blocks from all downtown attractions. Property is safe, there is free wi-fi, free parking on the weekends and a private room is reasonably priced. I have never had an issue while staying at this hostel.

Friendly and flexible staff accommodated us at the last minute on two separate occasions when another hostel lost our reservation. Great price. After camping for a week it was so nice to be able to do laundry and shower. The rooms we were given were spacious and clean which was excellent for spreading out and organizing our gear. I would...
