I had the enjoyment of staying here over the summer during the D-Day celebration in June. Vivian and her husband Rondolphe are a wonderful couple and made every accommodation available during my 2 week stay. Not only do they run a very efficient and awesome bed and breakfast, but are very knowledgeable about the Normandy invasion during WWII and gave... More

We stayed at this establishment when we were touring the Normandy area in Late September of 2015. The owners were very helpful with dinner reservations, letting us know where the local store is and also providing very helpful information on DDay tours. They are also very helpful in recommending other places to stay if they cannot accommodate your dates. The... More

Unfortunately, I am unable to provide a solid review of this property as I was uninvited for breaking one of the myriad of rules that accompany ones stay. The location of this property is absolutely stunning, and is a location of a famous battle during the invasion. Something I was unaware of until I conducted a tour the following day... More

For 12 days in August 2015, I had the pleasure of staying with owners Vivian and Rudolphe Roger at à la Bataille La Fière B&B. My room and adjoining bathroom was spacious, clean, modern and stylish. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic although I never experienced Viv’s Crepes; next trip I hope. There are house rules but for completely understandable reasons. The... More

Our family of 5 plus my mother-in-law visited in August and we were just amazed at the loveliness of this place and how tastefully it was appointed. Vivian and Rudolphe were gracious and accommodating hosts who felt like family soon into our stay. They were truly concerned that we would see the sites that were best to see, eat in... More

Beautifully restored historic bed and breakfast built in 1180 as a grain mill for the Vikings and added onto in the 1300's. Owners Rodolphe and Vivian Roger, and our hosts during our 4 night stay, treated my husband and I to an unbelievable time. They made us feel at home, breakfasts were delicious using local produce, breads, jams, butter and... More

We have never had hosts take better care of us than Vivian and Randolph did. As soon as my wife and I arrived with our two daughters, Randolph was on the phone, making reservations for our dinners for the nights we were staying. They also checked in with our tour company, and arranged for them to change our guide to... More

Viv and Rudolphe are wonderful hosts in this historic chambre d’hôte. The house is comfortable and quiet and the location is super. Sit on the deck and watch the water flow by or visit the many local sites associated with airborne portion of the D-day invasion. The town of St Mère Église offers everything that you need in a base... More

My husband and I and close friends stayed here at the recommendation of friends. What a perfect place to begin our two-day tour of Normandy! We spent three nights here. It was wonderful to actually stay in such a historical location. Viv has done an amazing job of decorating their B & B with WW II memorabilia. There are lots... More

We stayed for 2 nights at the B&B a la Bataille de la Fiere in early August 2015. Vivian and Rodolphe were wonderful hosts for our party of 7. The rooms were lovely and spacious, and the bathrooms were modern with plenty of hot water! The home cooked, personal breakfasts were incredible as well. This B&B is definitely run as... More
