We took our family of four, including a teenage son and daughter, to experience the history of Normandy. This beautiful and charming B&B is literally at La Fiere Bridge, site of one of the most heroic battles during the Normandy invasion. All four of us stayed in the 82d Airborne Suite, a huge suite perfectly suited for a family. Additionally,... More

My husband and son stayed here at the end of May, 2014. The room was clean and comfortable, the location was historical, and my son said his favorite thing about all of France was breakfast at La Fiere. Vivian was helpful getting the reservations made via email and when the guys were late showing up she called to be sure... More

Great location in Normandy, especially for folks interested in WW2 History. The B&B should be a Museum for WW2 not a B&B for folks to sleep and enjoy breakfast. The B&B owner is a little uptight and feels quite comfortable entering your room and leaving notes on your bed to share a concern and to chastise you for breaking one... More

Ref. 4 - 8 July 2014 Carr - Classens - Bohan Purple & Green rooms Yes, this is a great historic location. No, our place does not qualify as a WWII museum. However, we are a Bed & Breakfast in our private home (French requirement if registered as a B&B, 5 rooms/15 people maximum by law), and with a WWII... More

My husband and I stayed at La Fiere for 5 days during this first trip to Normandy for us. Vivian and Rodolphe were fabulous hosts and the B&B location was perfect. We were booked into the top floor, 82nd Airborne Family Suite, and were delighted with the views, the cleanliness and the privacy of the room. It allowed us to... More

I am appalled at some of the negative remarks! Vivian and Rodolph couldn't have been more hospitable!!! This was one of our most favorite places of our three weeks in Europe! Yes there are some requests that they make. I would only expect AND respect their requests. It is a lovely location filled was unbelievable historic details! Fabulous, friendly and... More

We wish that all potential guests would read this review. It is a great example of what we try to do and fine people who understand and appreciate all. As a matter of fact, most of our guests are like these folks. I never understand why some people act and respond differently. However, we all know that is the nature... More

Vivian, the owner, whilst highly knowledgeable on all things American related to WW2 in the vicinity, made us feel quite uncomfortable and unwelcome from time to time. A B&B owner must be warm and welcoming. Sadly, Vivian is ill suited to that.

In response to Jack F from Sydney, 25-27 June 2014 Purple room….. Thank you for taking the time to make this review. We both went out of our way to assist these guests. Vivian made sure they had the WiFi code right away as the wife wanted to check on her mother. Vivian asked if she was okay and the... More

We were lucky enough to get booked here a week before the 70th anniversary celebration. The rooms were lovely and comfortable, the hosts welcoming and their knowledge of the area and it's history a major plus. The beautiful countryside setting is only minutes from Ste Mere Eglise. I have visited Normandy many times and would not hesitate to stay here... More

Sainte-Mere-Eglise is the place you want to stay to explore the history of the Allied Airborne operations that were a part of the Normandy Invasion. We stayed at this historic B&B. The bridge in front of the inn was the scene of a very famous battle with the American soldiers fighting from the windows of this inn. Our stay allowed... More

We could not be more pleased with this guest's kind words and description of our area, home, and our management. Unfortunately, his scoring does not support his words. Most of our guests come to stay with us because we have "order, policies, and strict procedures". If this couple had truly read the terms and conditions before submitting the reservation form,... This is a very nice historic Inn located in one of the most significant areas of military history. The Normandy region was great to visit and see first hand; the sacrifice of so many. In reviewing this B&B, I agree with others regarding the amenities, the food, even the value. However, I didn't particularly feel welcome here. The Hostess was... More

This is Rodolphe responding. Thanks to DanB of Cadix, Kentucky for his point of view. He was here by referral of others who have stayed here four times in five years.
