Great location, wonderful house, lovely hospitality, and an awesome breakfast! We also appreciated the local guidance on sites to see and the wonderful restaurants. Thank you Viv and Rodolphe. We've already recommended you to friends.

Viv was a great help and went out of her way to ensure we had a great visit. Prime location and an absolutely beautful outdoor area. We will no doubt be back in the future. The rooms and historical documents throughout the B&B made the stay unforgettable.

What a terrific location, what wonderful hosts, what magnficent accomodations, and what a fabulous breakfast ob BOTH days we stayed (one of the best I've ever had at a B&B, and we've stayed at quite a few all over the world). This is the place you want to stay to explore the history of allied airborne operations and fights that... More

My husband and I stayed in the La friere B&B after exploring the Normandy landing beaches and museums. The property is very nice, on La Friere bridge, in a very picturesque setting. The property is adorned with WWll memorabilia and photographs. We received a warm welcome and they made us a reservation for dinner in an excellent creperie. They do... More

Thank you for your kind words about us and our B&B. You note some very nice details that we are sure our readers will enjoy. So glad that you enjoyed our breakfast. We are surprised that you bring attention to your fault of not reading the confirmation and for not being prepared to pay. Everything is carefully outlined on our... More

Vivian and Rodolphe are the perfect hosts. My 89 year old father and I had travelled over 500 miles from the UK and arrived around 1730 local time and were welcomed by the owners who were warm and very friendly. Our luggage was kindly taken to our room - the family suite which was superb. Vivian & Rodolphe were incredible hosts! This was my first b&b experience and I will return to B&B a la Bataille de La Fiere! I was visiting to honor my father & D-Day veterans. Viv provided me incredible guidance with my immersion into the invasion. Location is amazing. I had no idea how close I was staying to a very... More

I waited way to long to leave a review as I stayed this past July. What can I say about this place except it was perfect. My wife and I had such a great time, both Vivian and Rudolph were the perfect hosts. They occupy a very special place in the world and they take true advantage of it. They... More

For our second trip to Normandy, it was important to me to stay in or near Ste-Mere-Eglise. We were traveling with my husband's parents and a dear friend. I was a bit nervous as we've never stayed in a B&B before, but, soon after making our reservations, Vivian and I were communicating over email and I felt much more comfortable.... More

The Inn was lovely. Five nicely decorated rooms- 5 being the maximum number of rooms in France to be considered a B&B with anything larger being a hotel. The hostess Vivian is American and her husband Rudolph French and both we're charming and helpful. Great breakfasts. The bed was firm/hard but we slept well. If you are a WW II... More

My husband, son & I had a comfy, cozy stay here recently. This historic former granary has been tastefully renovated, while retaining many original features, such as the enormous ceiling beams. Our bedroom was beautifully decorated & the beds were most comfortable. Breakfast was both plentiful & delicious, offering protein (eggs, meat), wonderful bread options, always fresh fruit --- the...
