Vivian and Rudolphe offer a very nice B&B in the perfect location for WWII history buffs. The house is filled with historical, mainly D-Day, memorabilia that the hosts are very willing to share their knowledge. My room was clean and comfortable with a nice private bathroom. I already have plans to return in early summer.

Ah La Fiere, such a lovely place run by a lovely couple in one of the most historic areas in Normandy. I stayed here along with a colleague in October and plan to stay again during the week leading up to June 6th this year (2015) with my team of folks participating in the D-Day commemoration events. The hostess, Vivian,... More

Vivian and Rudolphe opened their doors to us, even though they were actually closed for the Winter. The B&B is everything and more you hope it to be. The rooms are very comfortable, the living room is perfect for relaxing by the fire with a book (The Longest Day), and breakfast is local and delicous. Rudolphe made great recommendations every... As a Social Studies teacher, it had always been my dream to travel to Europe and visit sites about which I have taught for many years. My trip to France, and especially Normandy, helped bring this dream to fruition. The B&B a la Bataille de La Fiere is located in the heart of the D-Day Operation, and Vivian and Rodolphe... More

Our Stay with Vivian & Rodolphe was absolutely wonderful! We have never been treated with so much hospitality and care. From the moment we arrived and were greeted like family until our departure we knew that we had found a place we could recommend to our friends. Their home is warm and inviting and a unique blend of a French... More

This is a wonderful guest house. I would recommend it to anyone. The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable about the surrounding area and about the battle. It's also very easy to find, just outside of St. Mere-Eglise. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Normandy.

We had planned on visiting this area for many years and a few days ago we finally arrived at the lovely village of Sainte Mere Eglise and were lucky enough to be booked into La Fiere. Vivian and Rodolphe were there to greet us warmly and show us to our room in their beautiful home. The rooms are extremely comfortable... More

After 7 years of wanting to visit Normandy I was able to for my 21st birthday, even better at Sainte mere Eglise and even better at the la fiere bridge. I have been researching into the 82nd airborne for a good few years now so this place was an honour to stay at. After searching around for a good few... More

As we drove into Normandy, we were touched by the American flags throughout the villages and felt so welcome. That warmth exceeded our expectations with our stay at B and B Bataille La Fiere. The owners, Vivian and Rodolphe, charmed us with their sincere welcome; provided comfortable and peaceful rooms at the property along the river; lured us up every... More

A first visit to Normandy for myself (from the UK), and my uncle, USAF (ret). We had been planning our short 3 night trip for months, with my uncle, (who was beyond excitement), for our modern day pilgrimage to this incredibly beautiful and historic part of the world. My marks above are for the website which is great, breakfasts which... More
