Found this place as a second choice when hotel we wanted in Seix was closed - but found the result to be excellent. Run by a Dutch/Belgian couple who have recently taken over this old B&B. It is in a tiny town beside a rushing river (or two), in an ideal location to head out for hikes or sight-seeing in... More

We got there by accident. Too early for checking in, yet we needed a coffee after hicking so we steeped in. One of the owners helped us with some real good coffee ( and its France, yes?) and showed us some rooms - we thought it was too early so we went on We drove more then 45 minutes only to... More

Agree with previous recent reviews along the lines of the effort that the 2 guys are putting into this place; a charming rural location in a beautiful part of the Pyrenees; it will attract the cycling, walking, fishing and canoeing brigade; and as for us it was a handy etap as we wanted an early start to do the Cascade... Unfortunately.... Stayed here in the winter and were charged €10 more per room than the legal posted rate outside because "costs are more in the winter". We were told no twin or family rooms were available despite the place seeming pretty much empty. The rooms are basic but clean and tidy, but not worth the price listed. The food is... More

We stayed in this hotel in july 2014. The restaurant was very nice. I had a trout and it was delicious. Very friendly staff. We had a small studio appartment just the other side of the street. It was big enough for a couple and a kid.

Loved this place in the beautiful setting of the Valley of Ustou. It's wonderful hosts Philip and Robert go out of their way to make you feel at home. Philip's excellent culinary skills and attention to detail along with Robert's wine expertise and very helpful nature combine to make a very enjoyable stay. It's set in an ideal location for... What a magnificent hotel. The restaurant is fantastic with many choices and all a bit different from most restaurants. The Hotel is gradually being renovated and improved since it changed hands in early 2014 so currently the rooms are fine though not luxurious. What we look for is a comfortable bed (which they were) and ample space in the bedrooms... More

Philippe and Robert made us feel thouroughly welcome from start to finish. A stunning location and rooms in keeping with the age of the building. Evenings on the terrace especially enjoyable after a day in the mountains. The food was of a very high standard, dishes were prepared specially to suit our interests and the local wines blended to provide... More

Philip and Robert are doing a brilliant job at the Auberge. The rooms are very simple but adequate and clean, and the dining areas and terrace are just beautiful and they do very good French food. The Auberge is in a tiny hamlet with pretty much nothing else in a beautiful area with so many walks to do, and other... More
