My husband & I always return to this house when visiting Seattle - the accomodations are very pleasant. We have stayed in three out of four rooms and find them very comfortable. Sometimes when the weather has been cold, it was so nice to sit in the library next to the fireplace and relax in the evening. The house is... more

We have stayed at many B&B's through the years. Salisbury house was outstanding. Beautifully and impeccably remodeled with wonderful beds and a superb full breakfast. One street away is active Capitol hill with excellent restaurants. At the innkeepers suggestion, we took the city busses for easy transportation. We would definately stay there again upon a return to Seattle. more

We loved our stay at the Salisbury House. The location exactly fit our needs, being a few short blocks from our daughter's apartment. The suite we reserved was an amazing value. We couldn't have been more pleased. We had no problem moving our car to unlimited parking and walking to great restaurants and shopping, It couldn't have been more convenient.... more

Traveling with my 20-something daughter, from D.C. by way of SanFran, to visit my son who's recently moved to Capitol Hill, we found this to be one of the most comfortable B&Bs that we've stayed in - - and we've stayed in many in all parts of the U.S. The room(s) were spacious (with pull-out sofa bed in the Lavender... more

Our stay was a wonderful experience which just enhanced our trip to the northwest. The Inn was very comfortable and peaceful. The staff catered to my wife's food allergy with creativity and care. The location was a perfect place to discover the untourist jewels of Seattle. more

This is a lovely B&B in a great neighbourhood. The house itself is beautiful and in a quiet location. We stayed in the Rose room and although it was less expensive than most, it was large, well decorated and comfortable. There are a number of restaurants and bars nearby. If you are reliant on public transport; a bus service leaves... more

Very nice B&B. Not overly fussy. Walking distance to bus stop and Volunteer Park. This is the place to go if you'd like your host to leave you alone. This was our first trip to Seattle and we would have appreciated suggestions not just short answers to our questions. more

Management response from
Cathryn Wiese, Innkeeper

I'm sorry that these guests felt that they didn't receive enough attention. I try very hard to provide good service even during a busy summer. I'd admit that I might seem a little frazzled or distracted, but I'm very attached to my business and helping guests make the most of their visit to Seattle.

The owners/operators do an excellent job. The house is both convenient to downtown and quietly removed from bustle. We hope to return there some day. more

Best b&b we have stayed at during all our travels worldwide (and we travel a lot)! Host very attentfull, delicious breakfast (and we are absolute gourmets!), great rooms and the location was a dream in a residential area. We stayed 3 nights in the suite at the start of our holidays and returned for 1 night at the end of... more

My wife and I stayed at the Salisbury House for one night as part of a short trip to Vancouver and Seattle in July. We are Chicagoans and the location reminded us of the expensive suburbs north of Chicago. There was a very pleasant urban neighborhood, however, with a bunch of restaurants and coffee shops a block or two away.... more
