A terrific, no hassle, everything provided as expected stay in the big city! Lindsey the proprietor was a delight. Although we had one of the windowless rooms, we were perfectly happy. It was extremely quiet! In a big city like Seattle, you're not going to be in your room much anyway. A good break on parking in the indoor garage... More

I have to travel to Seattle regularly for work. I always stay at Pensione Nichols. The location is fantastic. The staff is wonderful. The vibe is even better. That is the key, the vibe. No TVs, comfy beds, old world charm... I always choose here over the typical hotels my coworkers choose. You can walk to a million great restaurants... More

I’ve been a regular guest over the last few years as a treat away from Canadian Alberta winters. Like many of the guests, I’ve met some wonderful travellers when I’ve taken the time to engage them, heard middle-of-night noises through thin walls, and never been short of hot water even though it’s an old building. It’s definitely not a standardized... More

I stayed here in May 2014. I was attending a conference in downton Seatlle but I didn't want to pay full price for downtown Seatle hotels (non-profit budget), I looked at a bunch of options, but nothing seems to fit the bill. I ran across Pensione Nichols and ot seemed great. I ended up staying in one of the front... More

We recently stayed at the Pensione Nichols for our nephew's wedding. We really enjoyed our stay- found lovely comfortable beds and linens, and loads of room in the suite/apartment 12. We had a full kitchen at our disposal, as well as sleeping for 4 and a great view of Pike Place market and the water. The hotel is super clean... More

Stayed here my first night in Seattle and despite the multiple flights up to the front desk, my stay was a delight. I had the room overlooking the street and the noise was barely noticeable. I should note that I'm a city girl and absolute quiet keeps me awake. You can see Pikes market from the library, you are only... More

Love the honour system. The rooms were a decent size. The whole building is gorgeous and historic. Comfortable bed and day bed. The only two things were: The construction of the new condo buildings across the street. Bylaws I guess for commercial construction is 6 am. So we were awoken two hours before the alarm was set to go off.... More

I am so glad I read the reviews. The staff was exactly as expected - not terribly friendly but just friendly enough to almost seem professional. It was always a mistake to ask for anything - shampoo, early coffee, leaving your luggage for a few extra hours. Yet when they wanted us to check out early, we accommodated them! And... More

I stayed at the Pensione Nichols with a friend while the Blue Jays were playing the Mariners. The location was great, right downtown and very accessible. The inn provides a slip for a parking garage nearby to make it far more reasonable which was a huge plus. They also didn't hike up their prices like many other places did during... More

Stayed for 3 nights (pre & post Alaska Cruise), couldn't have been more pleased. Yes the rooms are a bit away from the norm, yes it is not what you may expect, it is true that this is not slick, over polished nor ultra hip, BUT, we enjoyed it because of those reasons. We met truly delightful other guests and... More
