I generally do not like "grand hotels", as they are only pseudo-chic, worn out and not comfortable. So is the Fairmont Olympic. Terribly loud rooms, with annoying traffic noise due to very poor windows. Service slow and bad - the Q-tips and shower gel not replaced for 3 days! A bit "dusted" feeling everywhere.

Stayed at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel for 2 nights after a 28 day cruise. The hotel is of very high standards. Check-in was quick, the room were huge and all the staff were very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to everyone

Every time we stay in this property it seems to get better. From Danny the doorman who has been there seemingly forever who always greets you and makes you welcome, and then all the way throughout the property, this is the place to stay when in Seattle!
