I believe that the hotel just got finished w/ renovations. It was really nice - not overly done up but definitely a step above the typical hotel room. Location was key because we didn't want to rental a car. Everything we wanted to see/do was easily in walking distance or bus stops were nearby (public transportation was so convenient). The... more

We just got back from 5 nights at the Red Lion Hotel on Fifth Avenue in Seattle. We were in room 713. The bad things were that we had to call a maintenance man in 3 times because the heater/air conditioner was either too hot or too cold, and could not be adjusted. Other things were the dirty exterior windows... more

The hotel is very, very well-situated for both business and leisure travelers, with easy access to the waterfront, Pike Street Market, Art Museum, and Convention Center. Downtown Seattle is fairly compact, and is well-serviced by (free) bus routes on most of its avenues and many of its streets. The hotel is within walking distance of many sites and nice restaurants.... more

I travel a lot of work and anytime I'm in Seattle, I try to stay here. The location is tops...close to good food, the market, all the best shopping, my office in town and a water view to top it off. The rooms have recently been remodeled and are of ample size with a king or two queen bed, a... more

After a long flight and the usual waits at US Immigration, the Red Lion came as a welcome relief. We had booked an Executive Tower Room, which gave us a wonderful 18th floor view of Elliott Bay & Puget Sound. And all this just two blocks from the central shopping area and only 10 minutes walk to Pike Place Marked... more

I was sooo impressed with the Red Lion hotel. My husband and I went to Seattle for part of our Honeymoon and loved everything about this hotel. The rooms were clean, the staff was great, and the location was excellent (we walked to the pike place market every day for fresh fruits/veggies). I definitely recommend it! more

Stayed here three nights for a ladies shopping trip. Paid the hotel web site AAA rate which was same as rate offered on Expedia. No bargains in high season downtown. Now that I know the 4 star hotels are all very centrally located I will try Priceline next time. We had a refurbished room with a view of Elliot Bay... more

We stayed at the Red Lion for two nights before our cruise. Everything was wonderful about the hotel, the location, the service and the decor. It looked like it was recently remodeled and very clean. It was very convenient to walk everywhere. We ate breakfast twice at the restaurant and it was very good. We were very pleased with our... more

This was a great place to stay for our conference in Seattle. The service was very good from check-in to check-out. I found the location to be very convenient to many restaurants and attractions. We walked two blocks to catch the monorail to the Space Needle. It was great to be in the heart of Seattle (with a view of... more

We very much enjoyed our 7 day stay at the Red Lion. Very nice bed and towels. Small refrig in room. Nice fitness room. Hardly ever had to wait for an elevator. Concierge was very helpful - she booked our trip to Victoria and also dinner at Salty's - a bus picked us up and drove us over - great... more
