Motif was great location for shopping and to walk to Pike's Place. We loved the location and there was a restaurant right there we could have eaten at but didn't. There was a small bakery/coffee place across the street for breakfast so we were set for getting our day started. A grocery market was a couple blocks away with was... More

Booked the room on Priceline and when we got there we were told that we would be upgraded to the Executive Suite. Well, ok! It was fabulous. Perfect view from the 19th floor. Bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. It was clean and we did not hear any sounds from rooms around us or in the hall. The staff... More

First, the good... comfortable bed, nice design, friendly staff, and great location in the city. And then the bad... No valet - not a huge deal, but the parking garage is tight and has the most God-awful smell (think ammonia and vomit) that wafts up the elevator into the lobby area. Paper-thin walls - all four walls might as well... More

I booked the Motif using Express Deals on Priceline because I had a hotel credit to use, so I didn't know which exact hotel I was getting until after the booking. Knowing they had recently been re-branded from a Red Lion, they only had a few reviews up and not all were good so I was nervous but decided to... More

First, I should state that this is my third time to Seattle, first time at this hotel. I am frequent traveler and in all my years of traveling, this is only the second time I hated the experience and felt the need to write about it. I thought I would give Motif a try since it's location was great. Online... More

We weren't notified of the name change from Red Lion so struggled a bit to find the hotel. The rooms were very large and spacious so great for all 4 of us. Only negative is the lighting, not many lights so if you need brightness is almost impossible to get. They have Starbucks coffee that you can make yourself in... More

My family and I loved it. Staff very friendly and helpful, The concierge, Susan, was amazing and gave us great ideas and recoomendaitons for food and activiites and we even saved $$ on her ideas. Loved the closeness to Pikes Place (only 4 blocks) and only 2 blocks to the Monorail which took you to the Seattle Center.

WOW! Why someone would take a pleasant, good value property, such as the Red Lion, and morph it into an expensive, poor value hotel, such as the Motif, is a business model I just don't understand. From the desk clerk that seemed just a bit too rushed even though there were no other people waiting to check in . .... More

This hotel has a great location & is contemporary & very comfortable. The beds were superb & we had a room with pretty views of the water & Pike Street Market. Front of house was very friendly, accommodating, helpful & efficient - both at the desk, bell-boys & concierge (who was only present on Saturday). Restaurant "Frolic" seems popular with... More

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the recently completely remodeled Motif hotel. Don't miss this centrally located gem. It was a holiday weekend and very spacious. It's urban influence, attentive staff, and super fast elevators make this hotel worthy of 6 stars; and then there's a night club which is kid friendly during the day with ping pong... More
