Spent a couple of nights at The Grove for a wedding in West Seattle. It was a very convenient location for wedding events, but was also easy to reach from the freeway, and a quick bus ride to downtown. It's not a fancy hotel, but was clean and comfortable. Our room faced the street, but I didn't notice much noise.... More

We stayed at the Grove to await a cruise. The room was decent - as if a hipster designed a comfortable Motel 6 room. We stayed in an inside room and did not hear any street noise, etc. Our room came with a decent continental breakfast. The people who ran the hotel were great - very helpful with advice and... More

This is a good place for the no-frills traveler on a budget. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Angie is very knowledgeable about the area and helped me with dinner and parking recommendations. The location is a short drive from downtown Seattle. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is definitely not about the bells and whistles ... it is about a decent location outside of the hustle and bustle of Downtown Seattle but still leaving the tourist attractions there very accessible by car (via the West Seattle Bridge). The price is also very reasonable for Seattle. The complimentary parking is great. The room was decent and... More

The hotel was well paced to see a friend with kids who lived near by. Other than that, I can't imagine really wanting to stay here. At around $140 a night, it felt expensive for a motel-type place, but that said, hotels in Seattle all seem a little over-priced. Airbnb seems like a good option for Seattle in general. I... More

Great little hotel that has been remodeled and updated with all the necessary amenities. Just a block or 2 from the bus line and the free water taxi shuttle is across the street. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lot's of great restaurants and shopping in the neighborhood just down the street. Room was clean and nicely decorated..great beds. Very reasonably... More

For a traveller on a budget, this is an excellently priced accommodation just 20mins taxi ride ($42)from the airport. Although rooms are compact, the very comfortable beds sleep 4 adults easily. Wifi, TV, coffee making facilities, good sized fridge, soap, lotion, make-up wipes, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and a plethora of towels made the stay very easy and comfortable. The... More

If you want to go carless, you can with this nice little hotel in west Seattle. Right on the bus line but not a busy or loud location. Nice comfortable rooms and a nice breakfast thrown in. Just a quick ride to downtown Seattle and all that it has to offer. Room was very clean and fresh. Was also nice... More

We chose this property because it was moderately priced and was very close to, but not in Downtown Seattle. Our room was a noisier one with 2 queen beds facing out to Alaska St. The room itself was clean and had some very nice touches. Someone had considered design when placing the mini-fridge in a "closet" space next to the... More

Location, Location, Location. That seems to be a recurring theme in a lot of the reviews. Besides that though, as you mentioned, we do offer great guest service, clean rooms and a good rate. I do apologize for the "chemical smell" you encountered. It is possible that the room had just had the carpet cleaned or possibly a paint touch... More

We stayed at the Grove as it was close to the West Seattle Stadium and to the Vashon Ferry. Price was reasonable - certainly compared to other Seattle accomodation. Clean and comfortable. Very good continental breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Would return.
