Shelly and her husband are world travelers and have created a B&B that provides what people want and enjoy. Full of every type of convenience and exceptionally clean and artistically decorated. The deck provides a distant view of the Olympics and is a very peaceful place to unwind in the evenings. In fact the Ballard View Room and Deck deserve... More

We stayed 3 nights in the Woodland Park room, and enjoyed our stay very much. The Woodland Park room is the only guest room on the first floor. It has an entrance off of the dining room, and felt very private. In the evening we felt like we had the house to ourselves and enjoyed cookies and brownies with a... More

We had just arrived from Vancouver Island for our last night in Seattle before returning home to NY. It was a great way to end our vacation. If you can afford it I strongly suggest the Ballard room. As advertised, you can see the Olympics from the roof deck on a clear day. After dinner we spent the night on... More

We stayed 4 nights in a huge room with its own private rooftop deck. Great view, very relaxing. The innkeeper was very nice and the breakfast was good too. I was initially worried that the neighborhood was a bit too far from downtown but the neighborhood was actually great with nice shops, a lake, etc. Will stay again

This B & B was a great find in a lovely part of Seattle. We stayed for 6 nights and couldn't have been more delighted. Everything was super nice from the breakfasts to the bedding to the fixtures and window treatments. Stayed in the Fremont Room and would definitely make this inn a top spot to stay on our many... We had great stay in the B&B. Nice location. The food is fabulous and Shelley always has brownies and cookies around for snacking. The rooms are carefully and exquisitely decorated. Bathrooms and bedrooms are ultra clean. Shelley knows the city inside and out and is always accommodating.Attention to detail in this B&B is very impressive. We parked a car by the... More

We've stayed at 9 Cranes twice now, and plan to make it our Seattle standard. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you need. Shelley does a lovely job of being helpful and friendly without being intrusive. She puts a lot of thought into breakfast; we've eaten quite well while there. And, there are several good restaurants in the neighborhood.

This was a great find in a great location with unequaled hospitality. Highly recommended. The breakfasts were substantial and snacks plentiful. Lovely walks in the area and convenient location, although we did have a car in which we traveled in and out of town and to local sights. Maps of Seattle are available in the inn as well as interesting... More

My husband and I recently had a wonderful stay at the 9 Cranes Inn. We’ve stayed at many bed and breakfasts over the years, and this was by far our favorite B&B experience. The inn itself is lovely and very tastefully decorated. We stayed in both the Phinney Ridge and Freemont rooms, and both rooms were very comfortable and stylishly... More
