On the plus side, this place is in a lovely setting, very rural-like, with a small pond and fountain. the dining room is vry nice with a complimentary breakfast superior to most places and complete with linen tablecloths and real china (no plastic, no styrofoam). However, our room had 2 double beds but really had enough space for only one,... More

THe grounds of Talaris are lovely and we enjoyed walking around the property but the rooms are tired. Ours was a corner and very dark. Traffic on the walkway was very noisy. Breakfast is a nice feature and well done.

Love it that it's outside downtown but still close. Cottages like rooms, little older property but clean. Friendly staff, big area and trees everywhere. Feels kinda weird at first but comfortable, reception is quite a distance. Checking in and out still quick and easy.

Talaris is a wonderful place to stay. It is such a beautiful area with a lovely pond and some amazingly big fish. The rooms are quite nice and so are the staff. Would stay again in a heart beat. Children's hospital is just a block away. Very lovely.

We couldn't get into our usual place and the photos of the grounds led me to check the place out. Our first night the air conditioner didn't work even though we inquired about it. The next day we changed rooms with everything working. This is a basic place with soft mattress and soft pillows. Our rooms were clean though the... More

Beautiful tree covered property. It is a conference center and adequately equipped for such meetings. The rooms in the Lodges are comfortable, clean and well serviced. The best feature about this place is the service. Very helpful and pleasant staff. A special shout out goes to Mr. Bob Strecker who really went over and beyond the expected levels of service.... My husband and I and another couple stayed at the Talaris when we visited Seattle in August. We found it very convenient to the sites in Seattle since it is only 6 miles from city center. While the accommodations are somewhat dated, they are very clean and well kept. The grounds are beautiful, and very spacious. The conference center is... More

Great location if want to be near the university of washington. Beautiful grounds, I even saw their eagle by the pond on the way to breakfast. Good, friendly service from reception and the lovely lady who prepared the breakfast. Rooms are tired. Smell musty like an old hotel. Ice is up on top floor, 2 levels with long hallways so... More

Excellent service, spacious rooms, in a pastoral setting at the Univ. of Washington. Location is deceiving because while it is hidden, the hotel is only about 15 min. from downtown and less to other cool neighborhoods of Seattle.

We love this place and have stayed here twice. It is a unique hotel/retreat with beautiful, open landscaped grounds and HUGE guest suites. We have a family of five and absolutely need a suite with separate rooms. I couldn't find a suite anywhere near the University District that actually had separate rooms, until I stumbled across Talaris. We had an... More
