Seattle travelers seeking relief from the concrete jungle can find it here, just east of the University and handy to University Village. Their operation is a B&B with a delightful dining room over looking their forest pond. Restaurants and bus stops are within walking distance. This used to be headquarters for an elite think tank, and it shows! We had... More

I stayed overnight at Talaris before a day of meetings. I flew in late after work and didn't arrive until after 10 pm. The clerk was waiting for me and was very nice. When he realized I hadn't had any dinner he gave me yogurt and fruit from the breakfast bar. The room was small, nicely furnished and clean. The... More

This very quiet area of Seattle. It was great for a business trip in the area. I wanted a relaxing (big) room with a nice running trail and places to walk to. Overall I couldn't be happier with my stay. There is nothing fancy about it but for the price, it exceeded my expectation.

The hotel is located in a residential area - it is peaceful and quiet - there is not a restaurant but there were several within walking distance - bus line near the restaurants that would take you to downtown Seattle.

This was our first time staying at Talaris. It is a good value - especially since they gave a discount as we had an appointment at UWMC. Grounds are beautiful and the breakfast was very good. Staff are some of the most friendly/helpful that I've had at any motel. The room itself was large with comfortable beds, two comfortable chairs,... More

I chose Talaris because my usual Seattle hotel (Silver Cloud) was sold out. I wanted to like Talaris, but there were some things that bothered me. The hallway in the building smelled musty with a strong chemical smell that was meant to mask the odor. It was better a few days after we arrived, or perhaps I just got used... More

We have been traveling all over the country.. We got to the Talaris after a long day.. The setting is lovely...park like.. The room was small, had a musty odor and no cold water in the very small bathroom sink..,we cancelled our second and third night.. The place is very tranquil and had a nice walking path, it was difficult... More

We initially chose Talaris because of it's proximity to Children's Hospital. They also gave a room discount for those associated with patients at the hospital. We were surprised at the beautiful and restful location. A quiet retreat in the city. The breakfast was delicious and located by a beautiful pond. The staff were all very helpful and accommodating.

When we went to check in we were told our room wasn't ready and they'd call my cell in about 10 minutes. Thirty minutes later we went back to see if it was ready, they switched desk people and failed to call us. The room was not what we expected, especially since I thought I had upgraded the room. The... More

This is the 2nd time we stayed at this hotel. The first time was impressive with the location the price and the staff! However the upkeep of this location is really bad.-the suite we had had a very strong smell of mold ( Seattle is a very rainy city but my house does not smell like mold...) The suites had... More
