Excellent service, spacious rooms, in a pastoral setting at the Univ. of Washington. Location is deceiving because while it is hidden, the hotel is only about 15 min. from downtown and less to other cool neighborhoods of Seattle.

We love this place and have stayed here twice. It is a unique hotel/retreat with beautiful, open landscaped grounds and HUGE guest suites. We have a family of five and absolutely need a suite with separate rooms. I couldn't find a suite anywhere near the University District that actually had separate rooms, until I stumbled across Talaris. We had an... More

My husband and I travelled to Seattle to watch the Blue Jays play and stayed for 2 nights. Driving up to this hotel, it almost has an All Inclusive feel of Mexico, well maintained and manicured property with a water feature. It doesn't feel like the city, so if a night life is what you're looking for, you're at the... More

A simply gorgeous place to stay near shops and the University of Washington. Great place to retreat and relax. Great service and the continental breakfast is really nice. The price is very affordable with free parking.

Talaris Conference Center is a unique hotel. The grounds are beautiful, but the buildings seem a little run down. There is no in room control for the room temperature, and our air conditioning was set very low. The front desk couldn't do anything about it when we complained so we had a very cold night. The continental breakfast was OK.

We stayed at the hotel because we had a child at the Seattle Children's' Hospital. Everyone was very friendly. The grounds and the room were wonderful. We would definitely stay at the hotel again. A quality experience.

From the website appearance it seems like it would be an amazing place to stay... But be warned rooms are nasty! Bathroom floors were sticky, reeked of cigarettes in a non smoking room, white residue on bed and bathroom door appeared to be bodily fluid, hair in the bed (appeared to be pubic hair) A/C didn't work so room was... I was at this motel for a conference. The conference facilities were good, the food was excellent, and the customer service was stellar. The grounds were lovely. Unfortunately, I also had to sleep there, so must give this facility a poor rating. My room was dark and dirty, with stains on the bedclothes, mildew in the tiles and on the... More

Dear Sunworshiper40, It was a pleasure speaking with you during your stay. I am also pleased to hear that you enjoyed your experience with us during your conference. Yes the Cascade building where you stayed is a different feel and style then the Lodge. The upkeep in your room is not our standard and not acceptable and we will work... More

We arrived late and were greeted nicely by the evening-night person, Bob (but it seems you can't arrive all hours of the night without it getting complicated). The day staff was also very pleasant. The grounds are lovely. The breakfast is quite nice and the dining room is pleasant. But, bottom line, you want a night's sleep, and the mattress... More

My wife and I recently stayed at the Talaris Conference Center for the first time while we were vacationing in Seattle. The 18-acre property is well landscaped and managed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and very adequate. We can't comment on how other rooms looked, since we only saw the one we stayed in.... More
